bike cannot start
likely possibility
-plug foul
-recifier spoil
-batter flat or batt water low
-coil spoil
-starter motor spoil or carbon problem(electric start)
-carb flooded
-check engine kill switch(most stupid mistake)
HOW TO CHECK FOR FOULED PLUG
-remove plug wif plug coil still in place, press starter switch or kicstart.if got spark means ok, no spark means screwed, wet plug also screw
-wet plug got something to do wif jettings or if ur doing premix,ur running too rich
COIL and RECITFIER and BATT
this 3 works together
coil and recetifier if screwed sometimes can start sometimes cannot start or start liao die,
batt flat confirm cannot start
but somtimes its not the batt, its the coil or recifier which cause it not to charge or produing not enuff current
trouble shooting not much ways, unless its an aprilia where there is a volmeter on the LCD panel
SOUND ON CHAIN AND PIPE
chain maybe due to damage link,chain out of lube or jus ur chain roller wear out
pipe mostly is leakage of air, start engine n feel for air around the pipe, esp around the end can and the mouth of the pipe connecting to the exhaust block
-HOLE IN EXHAUST
big hole must take go weld, i tried plastic steel for high temp also no use
if it is at the mouth connecting to the engine block or small hole at connecting parts,either changer the gasket or seal it up wig high temp sealent
BIKE DIE
check ur choke is close or idling too low
-idling low then turn up abit,but if problem persist then better check it up, for those using power filters mus be extra careful coz sand and water enter carb more easily than air box
my RS has a habit of weak idling on cold n rainy days
sometimes bike die dosent mean bad thing, it could be a pre warning for piston jammin or other problem inside engine,
OTHERS
in all situation when feeling engine brake rough or bike start to beahve weirdly and starts to vibrate, u squeesze throttle also no response , pls dun hesitate to clutch in, could bery well save ur life, piston seizure at high speed is no joke.
the above is all wad i have learn in my months of riding, i am still a newbie so pls correct me if i m wrong
