I heard quite a lot of good things said about shops and serviving in alexandra. maybe can give info on how to get there?? and which shop(s) is good for servicinG??
But of course these are more expensive. But if you don't intend to go on race, you can use a normal dot 3/4 fluid like most NSR150SP uses. I recommend unity motor at alexandra to do these servicing of excel cycles (look for big boon) But be prepared to pay a liitle more for their services.
Have a nice ride.

for normal road riding, the high boiling point of dot 5 fluids are not really needed. more for track use. for road use, it's better to use dot 3 or 4, because they don't absorb moisture as fast as dot 5 fluids.Originally posted by MS:4)Remove your brake callipers and send for servicing. Most likely your brake calliper piston is jammed. Don't worry, this is very common. The whole servicing costs about $20/= Then if you decide to change the brake fluid, you can consider the following...
a) Motul RBF
b) Rockoil 5.1
it's the industrial park opposite queensway shopping centre.. the entrance to the part is located along alexandria road.Originally posted by shah_1708:I heard quite a lot of good things said about shops and serviving in alexandra. maybe can give info on how to get there?? and which shop(s) is good for servicinG??
you never know when you'll need that extra braking powerOriginally posted by l3stat:for normal road riding, the high boiling point of dot 5 fluids are not really needed. more for track use. for road use, it's better to use dot 3 or 4, because they don't absorb moisture as fast as dot 5 fluids.
keke.. for that life-saving stoppie right?Originally posted by nismoS132:you never know when you'll need that extra braking power
anyway i tot dot 5.1 is more resistant to water than 3 or 4? something about it being synthetic base or other.
Thanks man!!! I dont realize there's an industrial park opposite queensway.. anyway thanks !!Originally posted by l3stat:it's the industrial park opposite queensway shopping centre.. the entrance to the part is located along alexandria road.
From my personal experiences, dun ever get your bike repaired from Alexandria villiage. There the ppl don't really have the standards. Just some cheap labour no standard malaysians that only noe to hack and wack your poor bike. I mean ALL THE SHOPS IN ALEXANDRIA VILLIAGE.Originally posted by shah_1708:Thanks man!!! me using dot 4.Originally posted by l3stat:keke.. for that life-saving stoppie right?
er i can't say exactly what it's made of, but the thing i'm sure about is that it attracts moisture faster than 3 or 4, but the boiling point is unbeatable...what fluid are you using in your NSR?
lemme go double check on the dot 5.1 thing...
yup. i agree.. said that in a lighter vein..Originally posted by nismoS132:me using dot 4.
will be trying out 5.1 soon.
hey 2 stoppies saved my life
