1.what grade of petrol should i use?92/98??
use better ones like shell v power in jb
can??<<--- i use V power... JB one... also can la... same la...
2.2t must use full syn one right?what brand is best for running in?<<--- 2T is up to ur own pref. i uSe esso gold... alot ppl use castrol TTS
3.during run in,the rpm must be <5 and speed 80km/hr..true? <<--- erm... wat my bike shop told me is first 1000click <5rpm 1000-2500 <7rpm 2500-4500 <8... but VspecR34 told me mantain <5rpm for at least 3000click... so think better to mantain... wait dio piston jam like me... *sigh*
4.can i use the IRC tire for the time being...from earier post ppl say it is very slippery but during run in cant run fast anyway...me dont want to waste the new tire what is your comment?<<--- irc i use for abt 2 mths... i find it ok loh... rain got grip... but i filter lane tyre skid... i hit the kerb and buang... kena minus 6 pt fine 200 bucks and knee 1 hole.. wat u think? HaHaha
5.during first svc at 1000km...what kind of 4t is best?spark plug lei?<<--- 4T my motor shop use mobil i think... spark plug dun change so fast one la... 1000click only.
6.when u all "off" your sp,do u turn off the fuel knob and the "eng stop" switch?is it necessary to do that?<<--- frm wat i heard the fuel knob turn off better for old bikes loh... new bikes no worries... and off engine use the engine stop better... use key, heard it will sort the circuit or do some damage..
wEll thats my 2 cents... can take the advice can leave it also... *chEErz*
yupyup... cos the airflow in the carb venturi generated by the movement of the piston helps this process by "pulling" the gaseous petrol up ah.. the throttle cable is connected to the needle and dunno what holder i mentioned ah.. the holder blocks the carb venturi's airflow, while the needle closes the main jet.. so with throttle action, air and fuel are allowed to "move". at from 0 to 1/4 turn of the throttle, it's a separate system comprising the power jet and slow jet (just names for another air jet and petrol jet i think...)Originally posted by nismoS132:actually when u twist open throttle you just allowing more petrol to evaporate
at least, that is wat i understand about it
er.. for short intervals it's fine. my friend left his fuel petcock at "on" for one week, and his engine got flooded. exhaust pipe take out and pour away the petrol somemore. so i think the others have a point.Originally posted by toons9:i tink the fuel knob can dun bother about it 1 lah....i ride my sp for 6mths plus also nv gimme any starting problems
then the use emergency engine stop to off the engine is ridiculous...it already stated its for EMERGENCY....juz use the key n turn off lahh i never heard anyone tio engine short becoz they use key to turn off the engine.....
hmmm 1 more thing i wana add...i feel sp the front n brake lights eat super alot of electricity man....so better to warm up the bike sufficiently b4 moving off in cold weather.....coz if u on ya headlight and use front brake(ya rearbrake lights will light) to brake + the cold engine will engine die easily man......
