how to protect ourselves from dishonest workshops??

actually for new bikers sure got experience kenna cut like carrot by some bike shop especially they see u blur blur everything oso dun noe then make the whole thing sound so complicated to get u into their trap... then u end up paying so much for something that is suppose to be cheap lor..
best is chk ard the shop before u go
then its best to hv a frd who has been ridng your kind of bike with u at the shop as he shld noe wat is the market price of doin certain parts lor
as for ah joo i think no use of goin back there to make a scene lor u think they bother meh....

the best is to know ur bike parts well, take the time to slowly analyse the parts that might got problems... try asking other bikers may also help alot. Most impt is not to believe the mechanics too much... work according to ur budget,

I normally go to JB one... -
just finish overhauling my engine at this workshop in tampines for $350,i think e uncle zainal there really put in effort to do a gd job out of it as i was there seeing him actually assembling my engine.....nevertheless cannot really trust all these workshops 100% unless u test out & have e feel of ur bike after a period to ensure...anyway if he's really a gd honest workshop i'll sure visit him nxt time & will intro to u guys!!
