I would like to know more about how I can get a motorcycle license. I would like to also know where I can get private instructors and all. Thanks! -
motorcycles got no private instructors..
the only private u get is to play the bike at the void deck... -
Maybe you guys can tell me where do I get to sign up for a 2B license? I really want to get a motor license. Could you guys fill me in on the price of the whole process too. Thanks

then go to a riding centre such as SSDC, BBDC or CDC...
go to their counter, say you want to register for class 2B.they will then do a eye test for you on the spot and fill up your particulars.after the process is completed, you are officially a student at that school.
as a student, you can book practical lessons. each school has their different way of doing practical and theory lessons. so when u registering as student at the counter, the customer service officer will explain to you the steps.
it is normally about 20 plus dollars per practical lesson. most of the time, you can book your practical lessons online. -

I live around Kallang Area, So most probably I'll go over to Comfort Driving Centre. Could you guys tell me more on how long can I expect to take to complete one 2B motorcycle course at CDC? -
Just a slight correction. You _can_ have some demerit points (that is, if u have a driving licence). To be accurate, you cannot have more than 12 demerit points before you take your class 2B practical test.
The whole process is usually between 3 - 6 months. I have not heard of anyone taking less than 3 mths actually. Budget spending somewhere between $600 and $1,000 in total for all your lessons and traffic police practical test.
You can enrol online or in person at any of the 3 centres. Living in Kallang, the CDC one is obviously the closest. Just bear in mind that in the initial lessons, the bike instructors are a bit strict and "quai lan" - it takes some getting used to if you're not used to being yelled at! haha

Shortest time to get a licence. 2 months if you can manage/wrangle it. -

No la... SSDC uses Honda bike (CG125 ) For Class 2B.Originally posted by R3SsH|n:honda 125 cc

And yes. You can try to take the Riding Licence & the Driving Licence at the same time at the same centre.
And if you can afford. Can try for 2 sessions of riding in the morning and 2 sessions of driving in the afternoon at the same centre. Then you might be able to get both licences as soon as 2 months. -
And errrmmmm....since you are a newbie to bike school.
You should try to ask some folks to bring you to Lim AH Boy's shop and pick up a cheap approved open face helmet.
And also...get some advise on using a bandana or a cap to keep your helmet smelling cleaner.
And err....covered shoes and thick jeans and lightweight cotton long sleeve shirts & lots of sunblock. -
IS it a need to get a open faced helmet? Will there be one provided by the centre? IS there any other things that are required of a student?

Things to get:
- PSB approved helmet (it's a blue sticker at the back) and no tinted or chrome visors!
- Gloves (aka durian gloves. U can most likely get from the canteen for $1; but buy from hardware stores cheaper.)
- Good pair of jeans and shoes (good jeans to save ur skin and shoes with good grip) no shorts or slippers allowed
- Sunblock (afternoon lesson will burn u) or long sleeve shirt
- IC sized coloured photo
- Alot of patience!!
Ok that's pretty much cover it. CDC uses Yamaha YBR125 for it's 2b class while the other centres uses Honda CG125 (both are bout the same, cept the Yahama's faster & lighter). I never been to CDC before and I heard that it has the smallest circuit AND the strictest intructors. But in the longrun, all centres are pretty much the same. Good luck. -

I spent about $700 and about 3+ months, including waiting one month for the tp test.
How much time / how much $$ did the rest of you take? -
i took one yr to get my lic...
every lesson one time pass. fail two TP and pass on the third.
but, i really take my own sweet time going for lessons. there can be "breaks" up to 3 months between different lessons. coz NS mah... no choice....

Ok, that's interesting. Does it mean that the longer I drag my lessons, the more expensive it will be?
