Class 2b Traffic Police Test

hi everyone, as i've just failed my TP this morning at SSDC, im opening this thread hoping that experienced graduates can guide us through the test and get the license to join the riding committee! so i hope this thread will be supported and not die like most of them lol..
i hope the 2b graduates can guide us(those taking soon or those who failed) thru n tell us how to avoid making our common mistakes.. i'll start wif mine..
1. Fail to check blindspots (kena 2.. but dunno where knn)
2. Fail to look out for traffic(kena 2 oso knnbccb.. rmb tt i moved after seeing no vehicles approaching leh!)
3. Change lane abruptly(very common.. would like to noe how to avoid effectively!)
4. Incorrect positioning(at U-turn i tink.. i was the first vehicle infront)
5. Unnecessary stopping(dunno where oso leh knn)
aiya got a few more but i now dun haf the list wif me.. will add later..

Sorry to hear you fail. You can use this failure checklist to learn so you will be more vigilant and less distracted. All these are very simple to eradicate one...
You just need to be very exaggerating when checking blind spot. Your eyes see no use one, your head must turn so that they know you got check blind spot.
As for change lane abruptly, you need to change lane very very slowly like a snail. -

u need to go for revision. and ASK the instructor for detailed instructions on the entire route.
alot of people attend revision having the mentality that they just take the bike and ride around. what they don't know that it is the best time to clear up any doubts.
1. dunno where your blindpots are? - ask for instructions on turns which the instructor feels where students always screw up
2. fail to look out for traffic - look further. you might think the car approaching you is far enough for u to make a move. but the tester doesn't think so.
3. change lane abruptly - i'm not sure if SSDC teached you lane change properly. the angle you change your lane depends on how much road distance you have.
4. incorrect position - please remember the rules when stopping at any stop/waiting point. these are the BASICS.
5. unecessary stopping - probably poor judgement from junctions. what you deem as "safety stops" might be unecessary stopping to the tester.
but the most important thing is that you go for more revision and ASK the instructor, best if he can go into detail. that's the only way to almost guarantee a smoother test where they won't fault u for the most minor things. -
its definitely normal to fail. i took my TP 3 times b4 i got my Class 2B.

hmm.. i tink partly was becoz i was kinda distracted when i move on to complete the narrow plank w/o the tester signal(he put his hand there den i tot he ask me go).. den he commet tt he haven signal me.. zz.. den i tot gone liao this test.. den keep think abt it den was less cautious bah.. hai.. stupid me.. but tt tester nv penalise me at all for tt narrow plank..
in d end kena all the safety check crap lol -

The Instructors knows the testers very well, and most likely do remember the Tester's positions at the Test Rouot and can point out the likely places where you were penalised.
Then you just need some more practise at the revisions. Like drilling, do your check backs, change lanes and try to identify where you might have trouble doing so on your next test date, you can anticipate where you might have difficulties manuvering the bike and be slow & relax about it. -

because sometimes they will give chance.
last time for my 2b test, i got penalised for 'mount kerb' which was immediate failure and it didn't even happen. turns out 3 other riders also had the same thing.
no point arguing either. just try again.
but u must always remember that no matter what happens, keep riding the correct way. sometimes u might just get lucky and he lets you through. -

You already know how to ride. You are a qualified rider. Now only need the licence.
The TP will be looking at how you ride.
They see you comming, and they judge you, Ok or not Ok.
Not Ok, they will mark your number and back in the office they will make you fail. They will not forgive any slight mistake they spotted, and will add some more.
You ride Ok + no Immediate Failure.
You pass, they just put in a few points.
So practice more and on test day be cool.
Show them that you are a confident and safe rider. -

2.CDC got 4+1 hidden opposite lane to look out for....i not sure about SSDC...just take your time and make sure got no CARS before moving lor...cos sometimes nb the car take their time and move...in the end dun noe whether they want to go anot(they have right of way,but quite far away from me.)
3.to avoid this, anticipate beforehand AT WHEN u are going to change lane. be prepared for it and change lane early. to avoid abruptly, your handle bar shouldn't swing..but "guided" into the lane u want to go...
4.your bike never bend enough or u bend too much...this one have to practice more...i oso got this problem...(though mine occurs only IF i am first bike for the u-turn...if following...no sweat.)
5. unnecessary stopping means you can move but u didn't move. u have to know when u should go instead of waiting...

actually it`s more of a confidence thing they`re looking for also...
so as long as u don make any major mistake, ride like u`ve already passed...
anyway don believe in the quota thing,
my 2b tp got once only 20 pass out of the 90+ ppl
then for my 2a, almost 80+ ppl pass out of 90 + ppl
then again, when i took my 2b, it`s when the new tp commander took position, perhaps he wanted more failures then..
