When you add extra oil to the fuel you are effectively leaning the carb jetting. This can make the engine run hotter and seize.

i think this onli applies to extreme quantities..Originally posted by nismoS132:no i mean 2t
Think so too. Cause too little 2T will also cause more friction between then piston and block and therefore more heat right.Originally posted by ah_tee:i think this onli applies to extreme quantities..

yup!Originally posted by ah_tee:so petrol have cooling qualities?
that's why i always say, premix is not suitable for street use. if you're gonna premix, you'll need a big big tub, a measuring cylinder, a calculator (or a really good head), a big spoon, some garlic, pepper, sliced onions... erm.. oopsOriginally posted by ah_tee:isnt this risky for premix users?

anyway if u premix, it's best to finish your entire tank in 1 shot, like they do at the races, becoz when you refuel, you get the mixture all mixed up (pun, sue me), that and certain brands of 2t are prone to settling after some time of idle (ie. a747)
