petrol/2t consumption is good, sorry, can't give u any figures. parts r mostly readily available and quite cheap. 1st 2nd gear can win dt200wr's pickup. hit and maintain 100km/h fast and smooth, top speed ard 140--150 (stable). SP edition's handling is impressive tooOriginally posted by Laksa:hi all anyone rode this bike b4?? how the petrol consumption and maintance??
cons,,, hmm,,, maybe the electronics,, maybe not? but the fuse tend to fuse and fan is mostly spinning in trafficsOriginally posted by widowmaker:petrol/2t consumption is good, sorry, can't give u any figures. parts r mostly readily available and quite cheap. 1st 2nd gear can win dt200wr's pickup. hit and maintain 100km/h fast and smooth, top speed ard 140--150 (stable). thanks for a detailed specification! i must say the appearance of the dna is second to none, however i believe the dna is out of my budget.Originally posted by seeprompt:Details on Gilera Runner 180 SP are as follows.
Engine = Single Cylinder 2 stroke
Dry weight = 107 Kg
Displacement = 175.8 cc
Basic POL Requirements = 2T, 4T and Coolant
Oil tank capacity = 1.8 Litres
Gear Change = Automatic CVT with torque server
Fuel tank capacity = 12 Litres
Consumption = 21 kmpl (ECE cycle)
Max. power (non kat version) = 21 bhp/8,000 rpm
Max. speed = 120 kph
As you might know that the Gilera Runner 180 SP is basically a scotter class motorbike. So you might expect similar handling for a bike with "trans-city" commuting design. You can't compare an NSR 150 SP with this bike. They would both behave very differently at bends, at different speed.
With Gilera's scooters, you might want to pay more attention on its automatic gear change technology. Namely the CVT, I believe is called "Constantly Variable Transmission". You get an almost infinite gear optimised for any speed.
Personally I would recommend Gilera DNA 180 (4 stroke, 4 valve) instead. With 14´´ wheels and duel rear suspension it might provide superior road handling, especially if you like to bank a lot with your bike. In fact my wife likes the look so much that we are intending to get one by November (or earlier if we can't resist) for her personal transport.
If Gilera were to introduce "Infinite Variability in Valve Timing" technology too, I would not hesitate to get one for myself!!!
cheers!
the belt needs to be changed regularly. other than that, the bike is very reliable.Originally posted by Laksa:how much for a full tank?? is the scooter problematic?? what are some of the regular servicing to be done? other than 2t , does the bike require 4t?? sorrie i'm know nothingbout scoots
