How to confirm your bike is first hand or second hand?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but is there a sticker or cert to confirm the bike you buy is 1st hand not 2nd hand? How do you confirm? Where do you check?

check with LTA (oneMotoring website) under Transfer Fees and see the number of transfers.

Sometimes, bike shop buys over the bike first. But sells it to you brand new.
Its still considered first hand or 2nd hand? -
the term first hand means the bike has never been used before.
it came straight from the factory...so its brand new
if the shop bought it from an owner then refurbish it then,its still considered 2nd hand or many many hand oready.
they just paint it back to hide the scars showing the bike got accident before or
what so that the next buyer will think its accident free.
but they cant hide certain scars that are permanent unless change. -
The log card will have shown that the bikeshop, or whoever is the owner of that bike shop, is the 1st legal owner of the bike.
So the 2nd legal owner is considered 1st hand or 2nd hand? -

if the first owner is bikeshop n the buyer is the 2nd transferee
its still considered first hand as the bike has not been "on road" b4
of cos it depends on how much COE is left, normally shops seldom register the bike b4 they sell the bike, cos they duno when can they sell the bike n registering the bike would mean u need to main the "road worthiness" of the bike
namely, road tax, insurance, transfer fees even though the bike is kept in the shop
my friend bought a DRZ sometime back brand new, but was told he will be receiving a unit pre-registered 1 yr ago, 9yrs left on the COE, we checked the odometer and the condition of the bike n was satisfied that it was a "never on road" machine
the early registration was due to they have another unit wif a bidded 2 digit no plate due for scrape n they transfer the plate over to this one
the trade-off was that my friend will be having the number plate f.o.c to comepensate for the 1 yr COE which my friend found it worthwhile
normally for this kind of cases, the price will be lower to compensate the used COE, it happen to shops sometimes like when the buyer backout last min n the bike has been registered
of cos there are also shops who take in few mths old bikes, reset the odometer, change the tyres and sell it as a "brand new" bike
it all up to u how u gonna spot one, if ur jus afriad, get a unregistered one -
Can I assume authorised distributors would surely sell 1st hand bike for real?

no,even they sell 2nd hand bikes,but its not much.
but hell,its not like its being recycled like paper where there are only subtle differences,im sure anybody would know whether its new or used bike
