Y always taxi drivers?!

hey bikers, dun u tink taxi drivers always cause danger to us? of cos there r gd taxi drivers out there also lar.. but most r impatient n inconsiderate to us bikers..
althought i never got into major accident b4, but got 3 minor incidents, all becos of taxis... PLS, i use 'incident' becos its not a accident at all..
first, that time i no license, my fren riding SP was pillioning me, we approaching a red light, but my fren not in time to positon btw cars, so he slow down behind a car, after tat he swerved abit to the rite wanting to squueze btw the lane, but the taxi which was coming didnt siam, heng it was slow speed, jus as about to hit us, it brake in time, but stil bua abit, my right foot also kena knock, but not pain lar...
i admit that it was my fren fault, cos he never check blindspot, never signal...
second, the taxi caused to bua my footrest kena the kerb, scratching it... all becos of an accidental swerve of his fucking steering wheel...
third, which was this morning. same thing lar, i was squuezing in btw cars cos in front traffic jam approaching a junction, i was goin slowly in fact, then i tink this taxi wanted to cut into his left lane while moving off, but then he never see me approaching, he jus swerve his fucking steering wheel, cos me to siam n my sidebox bua into the car beside me.. heng later i check my box got no scratch or dented..
although all these r not major n not even consider minor accident, but i stil advise bikers to take extreme care when squeezing btw cars... BEWARE of 'desperate' taxi drivers... n also those big merc too.. i also realise they drive as if they own the rd!

taxi drivers drive like this corz they have their attentions on the pathment looking for passengers... some ah pei taxi drivers also got their licenses YEARS ago, remember, last time licenses very the damn easy to get...

taxi drivers think they are the king of the road... all road users know they possess this nonsensical theory: the road belongs to them.. whoever tried hailing a taxi mostly will see the taxi driver cut into the very last lane when they see business coming... even when stopping to alight passengers, they just suddenly stop and put on hazard lights... ( and as if last minute switching hazard lights is of any use when a vehicle, especially motorbike can stop in time if at high speed..) i still remember once when i was driving late at night... there was a taxi far in front of me... but i realised he was decelerating and for no reason came to a stop.. (the whole road was almost deserted w/o cars!) i horned at him but he bo chap.. some kind of taxi driver.. (i suspected that he was too tired and wanted to stop fer a rest.. but the frustrating thing was that he didn't even bother to stop near the kerb and just on the very lane itself!!) So always be careful on the road... you never know what taxi drivers will do the veri next moment!

you can't actually blame the drivers when u are trying to suay chia. do you think u will kena all these if u dun suay chia?

You really can't blame the drivers for 'inconveniencing' you in this situation. Remember that drivers have a lot more blind spots to check than bikers.
Why not reserve the squeezing for traffic jams ? Motorbikes waiting behind cars at traffic lights, is not a sin .... -

i feel that taxi drivers are juz experience cos they have to drive on the road at least 12 hrs a dae....thats a tough job okie??
imgine when u got no bike and u need a taxi...could be something important for some one..so they could be jus so sian thus could not care less..but hope that u guys put urself into their shoes and think of it....i think this way because i used to think of tazi like that but my dad is a tazi driver so i talk to him abt this and he explain to me....being a taxi driver is not as easy as wad we thin of it...thatz my two cents worth..

Someitmes is not that they are reckless, it's sometimes, esp at nite, they are tired, so less alert. so of them hold full time jobs, but cannot meet end's meet, so do p/t taxi driver at night. I try to drive non-stop in army 9 hour straight, damn shag sia. so cannot blame all taxi drivers. My dad also p/t taxi driver, sometimes see him come back late at nite, very tired. -
Juz a few words to "INCONSIDERATE, RECKLESS, F**K_UP THINKING etc." taxi drivers... Go & screw yr mum's "pi kang"...
I sold my beloved NSR-SP b'coz of a taxi... I was in a small road where i met a taxi going at a very slow speed(almost coming to a stop like alighting a customer by the side of the road) so i signal right & carry on but to what i least expect, the taxi turn right & hit right onto my baby's ass & i lost control of my bike due to the impact & buang... I stand up & look at that asshole number plate & his signal light(to ensure that he never signal b4 turning)... I had hurt my back & can't withstand the pain so i stood down agian but when i stand up the 2nd time, the signal light is on already... After i stand up the 2nd time, the taxi driver walk up to me smile at me & say "okie or not"... I'm so furstrated that he can still smile when it's his f**king fault... I stright away f**k him & ask him to try it lor... My paintwork, racing footpegs(both side break coz he hit me on my left & i land on my right, pipe, alinement, fork, faring crack, brake & clutch lever spoilt all b'coz of him... Guess how much he want to pay me? S$100 only ah... Not even enough to pay for my racing footpeg ah...
*Advice to all: Never go near taxi... I should say that NOT all taxi drivers are that f**k-up...

no use venting ure anger on those taxi drivers....its their ricebowl, the same thing applies to those delivery/despatch riders who ride recklessly...scold for wat, no use just try avoid them on the roadlah...

The important thing is to stay alert on the road. Try to learn from the mistakes of others; you won't have enough chances to make all the mistakes yourself.
If you fail to stay alert on the road, the next time it might not even need a taxi; just a piece of wood on the road will send you flying. -

is not an excuse for failing to chk them
2. if i give a DRIVER a bike. during a jam,
i think he will oso suay chia lah.
u dont expect us to wait behind cars and
our view of the road is being obstructed

Even basic or riding theory also mention about avoiding driving or riding if fatigue is getting over you... so get real and definitely a no no excuse for any accident because you just happen to slog too hard fer the past few days.. most seem to pity the taxi drivers cos they need to drive on the road for like almost 24hrs... oh please... any1 spare a thought for the victims? maybe some may say livings are hard to earn.. esp. taxi drivers... well... who's not with the downturn economy right now..? *drive or ride safely*

i wonder why some taxi drivers will be speeding at the right lane and when there's passengers waving they would make a sudden turn into the left? since they are looking for passengers why don't just keep to the left?? i just met one today, not that i have anything against them...

4. Unskilled rider i.e. dunno how to brake on wet surface. Consequently, the bike skids.
5. Jaywalkers
And btw, nope, I've not seen a bike knock into another before but I've seen a bike knock into a car with the rider flying in the air. I've also seen a couple of bikes skid in the middle of the road before.

No. The next time you get on the road, those reckless taxi drivers are still gonna be there.
That's why I emphasised that we should always stay alert on the road because there are so many different possibilties of an accident happening. It's not just limited to irresponsible taxi drivers; there are those reckless bikers, impatient drivers and those recalcitrant jaywalkers.
On the road, your safety is your own responsibility. -
