I really hate it when my engine stalls during moving off... though it only happens occasionally i am really scare that during TP test my engine will stall... Anyway i am attending practical lesson 2.. Fig 8 n crank are easy cos i can lean with the bike with ease but problem comes while moving off... i not saying i dunno how to do that but there r times my engine will stall...damn scare...

go and learn auto..

What's so scary? It's only electric start what. Just clutch in, kick back to gear 1, and press the button to start it back
Anyway, you'll get used to the biting point after few more lessons and moving off will be like a 2nd nature to you.

practice makes perfect

errr... -_-'?
now just prac 2 only then oready talk about tp.focus on ur pracs first get it right before u think anything about TP.
furthermore, uve got better things to fear such as falling off the plank than stalling ur bike...err..duh?
mancha
Which centre are you at? Practical 2 only, stalls ocassionally at move off, but find Fig. 8 and crank easy. Hmmm....?
popmynutsy
at prac 3, u wouldnt be worrying about moving, cause u can do it properly. like what loudness said, u would be worrying about plank. and at gear 1, no matter what dont throw clutch. gear 1 = ur clutch cant be totally out. engine sure stal.
viciouskitty74
Stall engine at moving off. release clutch too soon.
Try to practise that half clutch thingy at the moving off point so you get a better feel of when the power kicks in at where you hold/release your clutch
Renoi
ya, clutch control no good, practise more
tpkw
you throw the clutch when you're moving off.
if you're good really, your engine won't stall at all.
and you need to warm up the engine first, keep revving it for at least a min or so. so the engine won't die off for no reason.
