Cost for down payment of a new Kawasaki

I am just wonder how much would it cost to get a new bike compared to a second hand one.
Any1 can do a compare for me?

I guess you're from that forum as well and just enrolled your 2B from your thread.
You're probably referring to KR which you probably can't get a new one now.
2nd hand should be around 2k+ machine price depending on the condition and plate.
Lastly, just read more on that forum while you're getting your license. It'll help you alot on your choices after you passed.

Your downpayment can be very wide.
it might mean including COE, Road Tax, Insurance or whichever.
A good rule of thumb is S$2,000/- for a above S$10,000 bike.
A S$3,000/- to S$4,000/- bike, drop at least $500/- not including insurances. -

It depends from bike shop, person to person.
Lets just say, I've ever got a 2nd hand bike, with no downpayments. Everything, including insurances & whatever misecellanous was loaned and I pay back in installment.
In other words. I didnt pay a cent till the 1st installment; except to maybe buy petrol and the parking coupons. -

Always check carefully, make sure the shop people, or your seller or whoever that person you talked to. State it down in black and white that the amount you give them include what stuffs.
There has been complaints or queries on the Singapore Bikes Forum on these issues for newbies.
Whatever amount you drop as downpayment. Please have it stated exactly what the amount is for and what it entails.
Some may later say: 'you say you buy your own insurance!' to 'who says?' to 'No no! There is no such thing/law/rule!'
Or there may be issues where after you seen, agree to buy the bike. Drop the deposit, People removes or changes certain parts of the bike....like sport rims, end cans, box, engine guards and so on etc.
Also make sure that you and the seller agrees on the ERP Units, boxes & whatever miscellanous accessories. -

Cos different shop have different style.
Some just require you to pay your insuarance upfront. . . and the rest will be added to your installment.
some shop min down is 1.5 some 2.5k
If you just pass and getting a krr(fairing bike) get ready to down at least $1k to $1.2 , as insuarance price for p-plate has shot thru the roof.
