used the motor up u mention and the effect really gd. however after 2 days the kick start to wear off liao... but then the gear shift really smoothen a lot... try to pour another 3 caps in but the effect still the same. so i presume this is the max i can get out of motor up. frankly speaking, motor up not bad for gear shift problem. only problem is when gear shifting is too easy, u tends to shift all the way even without reaching the required speed!!!!
as for motor up for petrol, dont really see the difference... -

stock specifications for tires for TA150/TA200 r:
Front 90/90 17"
Rear 130/90 15"
for me, i use pirelli 100/80 for front
130/90 for rear -
just saying what i know.... no offense to the other experts in here...
i believe that the diff between all the petrol v-power... 98.. fusion ...92.. is the octane level... notice the vapour when u pump certain more Ex petrol.... the octane level affects the bike at certain alttitutes and stuff.... notice how come the bike is smoother when the weather is hot or colder.. something to do with the density of the air...
porting / polishing ... the rough surfaces and the angles of the inlet port and the exhust port is file off and smoothen... this enables the air / petrol mixture to flow in and the exhaust to flow out faster.. ermmm one of my fren told me that by doing the pain staking time comsuming operation to my bike will increase the HP abt 5
skimming of the block or changing the head gasket.... this will increase compression of the bike .... remember the clearance level of the spark plug to the piston crown ... you will not want them to be too close..
spark plugs ... there are Ex and cheaper ones... heard there are cold ones and hot ones ... normally i leave this to the mech to decide ... i think the diff is abt the starting of the bike. a larger spark from the plug or higher voltage / spark plug cable will result in better combustion / fuel efficiency or a hole in the piston .. this will depends on yr luck / mechanic
exhaust pipe ... besides the amount of restriction from the manufacter to allow the bike to be imported into Singapore there are the following
2 stroke ---the size of the belly ... length / amount of holes of the muffer decides the bikes pickup / top end .... notice the nice round cruve from a 2 stroke scrambler's exhaust port and the yummilious big fat belly of that after market exhauts you see in shops...
4 stroke ---length of the exhaust ... tail can of the exhuast .. if the pipe is a 4 to 2 to 1 ... 4 to 1 ... will decide the top end --->still hope to get a 4 stroker to learn more abt it
power valves / boost bottles... not so sure abt these things but there is a diff from a YPVS or KIPPS system ...
spocket ... ermmmm..... there is a front and rear spocket ....
a bigger front spocket gives better top speed and less pickup and a smaller one give the other effect
a bigger spocket gives a better pickup and a lesser top speed and a smaller one give the other effect
notice the huge diff in spocket size of fairing bikes / crusiers / scrambers...
thats a bit of info from my kind frens and the ever so wonderful WWW =) hope i did not offense any one with my load of bullshit up there .. anyway ... i am learning more and more each day
my personal choice is to save the 4 stroke phantom u are ridding for nice and reliable transport =)
