Amazed by Aprilla 125 cc!! What do you think?

Hi,
I just went to mah motors to look around for 200 cc less bikes. I had an idea about regular Honda NSRs, Yamaha TZM, Kawasaki KR 150. Infact, I had seen them plenty.
But I was pleasantly suprised to see Aprilla 125cc range. It looked fabulous. I was in love at first sight.
I am a newbie here, with a brand new license and looking around for good looking bikes under 200cc. I really need your suggestion out there,
1. which one is the better than the other- NSR vs TZM vs Aprilla 125.
Right now Aprilla 125 is my personal favourite, but I heard its maintenace is expense.
2. How expensive does it get, compared to repair and maintenance of other bikes.
3. Anyone selling Aprilla for less than 2.5 K? Where else can I find it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

yo bro. congrats on ur license.
aprilla is a italy bike if i not wrong. and italy spare parts would be more expensive. same as gilera.
the spare parts cannot buy 'pirated' 1. must original.
tzm>sp>kr. i think maintenance for kr is the cheapest among the 4. -
Almost everywhere is selling it.
Just take note that there is a difference.
aprilla or the aprilla replica. i leave it up to you to find out instead of being spoon fed information. -
aprilla look nice... a bit bunky
but one thing to note.
parts more exp.
more wear and tear , due to plastic gears. -
in case not many of u out there know of it yet..lemme introduce it
the yamaha YZF-R125.
a new 2008 125cc model of R6 made to compete with the new looking cbr125rr
on the market out there.
the downside is that its a 4 strokers.
but the killer is the looks of a 600cc bike...with just slightly smaller tyres from rs125 but bigger than cbr125rr or nsr150sp out there.
whoever get it first in singapore will surely capture the eye of riders out there. -

Too bad it's not here yet and definitely no 2nd hand for me to get one...

first of all....... Its not comfirm whether the yzf 125cc will reach our shores.
Lots of models are coming out all over the world , but not all will be allowed into singapore.
And secondly , to the ts , which model/yr of aprillia 125cc you talking about???
if its the older versionS! you can get at shops from 1.3k to 5k (depending on models/yr)
but if your talking about the 06 model , 1st hand will set you back around 11k-12k.
Im not sure about 2nd hands , maybe 8k-10k... not very sure about that but should be around there.
And lastly , Get a eXprience biker friend who knows the bike well , to follow you went u go out looking for bikes. . .
GET A HEALTY BIKE FIRST AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT .!!! etc good 2t.... and the bike will take good care of your wallet too.
dOnt take care of the bike , den get ready to burn your wallet. -
aprilias tends to be high maintenance
i suggest japanese bikes.
i agree the new aprilia is pretty, but still... must use abit of common sense. -

now that u mentioned it, i think that was the same reaction i gave my friend when he bought his aprilia.
top up 1K and u can get yourself a Super 4 Spec 3 first hand -
and if they are going to pay by installments , i dont know what to say already....

Maybe thats why.....some bike shops always seems to have aprilla bikes which was seized and tow to the bike shop for sale because such owners always couldnt meet the installment payments.
And most times, youngsters who bought class 2 bikes.....usually sells them in a year.....cos.....insurances & installments kills them thoroghly. -
you must think.. are you sure whether you wanna ride 2B bikes all along your life? or you wanna ubgrade to 2A.. i rather have the $$$ buy class 2A bikes.. it depends on individuals..
