you must be a crazy Fart , putting sit belt on a bike , what if say we know we gonna bang de vehical infront liao , how de hell we gonna jump out of de bike , even if skidded you wan de bike to drag our body along with it ........= so equal to putting a selt belt on a bike is dangerous to de own rider and its also very silly
any about banning bike , eh den ppl wan deliver pizza to your house how drive there ar..?? pls lar main problem about banning bike is you think everyone got alot money to spend on a car ar ... -

...riding bike can be passion,for transport and for work purpose

,,,,,its u this kind of ppl who think mirrors are meant for reversing yr car avoiding bang from behind and say na bey,,,,suay le,,,, mirrors are meant for u to look out for traffic behind which other road users will cut their lanes to overtake u, unless whenever u drive car....the min speed is 180km, then u dun have to look back lor . its u this type of ppl which dun bother other ppl life and think that motorist can brake in time to just let u switch lanes without checking and assuming that bey si la

its u this kind of ppl which let my friends die on the road just to avoid or collide with u,,,, and when TP come for statement u will say,the bike run very fast and never check for blindspot and the next thing i knew ,,BANG!!!! he hit my car,,,,sir i got nothing wrong..the bike bang onto me....i did not do anything wrong,,,,,his fault for riding so fast!!!
lets be honest..... i admit bikers sometime really rode fast and never care 
....but thats why the govt always say,,,,riders stay alive...drivers stay alert!! i have enough of this kind of things from ppl who did wrong in their ways and can still have the cheek to blame on ppl even when ppl had die due to the accident..... some driver are gd and courteous. when they give way to ppl on the road but some will even point middle finger!!! i admit i also point middle finger to ppl who drive like they are the only ppl which pay road taxs and they have the right of way.. banning of bikes in sg i dun think its reasonable .....why dun ban cars??? cars create the most accident rate,they ram into each other...they bang onto ppl and drove off like,,,as if they had bang a cat or dog ...let me tell u one thing....u dun kpkb here on banning bikes in sg ,,,,,u buey song,go scold SM LEE la!! KNN,,,, if i were to met ppl like u on the road,,,,think first thing i will do is make sure u KISS MY HELMET!!! but provided i am still alive!!
anyway....
i'm here to let out my frustration on ppl who think they have cars and drove like a king and thinks riders are meant to die on the road,,,, as if like animals which got bang,,,,,, and to avoid paying damages to ppl or insurance... 
can drive car means u can affort to pay fines and damages and repairs ,if not,,,,,then go take bus,mrt or lrt.... dun come here act like one idiot and start telling sg ppl to ban bikes.. be reminded that this is a bike forum... if u wan to start anything for these,pls send yr idea to www.straitstimes.com.sg ....maybe they will publish yr opinion on baning bikes in sg .....anyway if after u reading this of wat i say,,,,,u buey song.....contact me via my e-mail,.....best of all,maybe we can come out and talk and come out on banning cars and bikes ......so all take mrt,bus and lrt,,,,,,no fines,no rd tax no insurance to pay!!

Hmm,even if im trying making a 40 on the road without my safety belt on,do you think if a TP saw me doing that finds it perfectly normal ? ,,|,, A public bus can hold 40+ sitted passengers. Don't even have to wear any safety belt~ My point is,should the government ban motorcycling as it's dangerous because there's no safetly belt. Motorcycle ramming onto an obstacle is equal to a 'fly to the front' ride.. Or should the government redraw back the stupid safety belt rules ?

Yes,it will be damn messy and troublesome to the captain and the passengers. But is the safety of passengers on the bus is less important than the troubles that have to be made ?
Because of the 911 'OSAMA BIN CHAO CHAO' incident,customs from then have to be more careful and spend lots of time and trouble on security purpose. There are so many hundreds of flights each day held at the airport. WHY ISNT IT TROUBLESOME TO THEM ? WHYYYYYY ? My fren from China who studying in Singapore says that motorcycles are banned from all major cities in China. Well not exactly ban lah but the motorcyclists need to buy some special license plate that costs abt 10,000 (he never say wat currency) den can ride into city.
End up got a lot of ppl put fake chia pai go in. he also said the majority of the bikes there are big so that they can let the TP smell smoke. Especially "the bike with the chinese word on the side"... hahaha! i guess u all know wat bike that is hor? -

next time, wanna make argument, for goodness sake, use fair comparisons. compare rear seat belt rule to banning of bikes....tch tch next someone will say s'pore citizen must install IU on body to travel into city at peak hour to be fair to vehicles' ERP
personally i agree wif this new law. i say b4 in anudder forum, last time long age when seat belt first installed in cars in US nobody bother to put on until their govt make it law. today, consider if u either FRONT passenger or driver: can u touch heart and really say 'i dont believe seat belt make me safer'? i mean really touch heart and say it, not something like 'i know seat belt safer but i prefer freedom and fun'.
so years from now probably our kids will look at rear seat belts the same way today we look at front seat belts.
my only problem wif the law is that rear passengers who never belt up, if they have any liscense, will kena demerit point. consider the following conversation:

Heheh... quite funny if u think of it dat way... 2 days ago my friend n his gal was in an accident. At slip road from aye to clementi ave 2. Think he was in a hurry n careless. He didn't look at d vehicle in front of him b4 entering d filter lane... next thing he knew his car was wedged under a lorry.... his front hood was folded into half... front bumper, headlights, radiator... all gone. Est cost of repair- $4500 to $5k.... it was really lucky dat both of them were wearing seat belts lor... he actually dun like to wear one... dunno y, maybe god want him to leave longer, dat day he felt like wearing....

I dunno ... but your opening sentence sentence seems to be the cause for confusion ..... and the logic about "people in cars have to put on safety belts, so why doesn't motorcyclist doesn't have to" and the government should enforce safety belt or not ... these 2 logic and comparison doesn't seem sound to me .... I mean these 2 arguments don't seems to have anything logical .... What does a biker not mearing safety belt has got to do with wether government should enforce or not ? Illogical (there's no safety belt on bikes) ... maybe that's the cause of confusion .... Not that the readers here are narrow minded or something ... think u better rephrase what you were trying to say .... it's as good as asking people " even motorcyclist and F1 racers need to wear helmets. So why doesn't government make all drivers wear full face crash helmets ?" And motorcyclists doesn't go around crashing into things and cars .... nobody likes to go and crash into things. ......
