Hi
Currently considering getting a 2B license but I have some questions:
1. Would like to know where can get 2nd hand bike in sg?
2. What is the avg cost? (Preferably Honda Innova/wave or any good scooter)
3. How much we need to pay monthly (inclusive of petrol & etc.)?
Thx
wow,2nd hand bike in sg are very common, there are various bikeshops u can find
north south east west of sg.
average cost would be 1500-3000 dependant,
if the cost is 3000 and u tie up for 2 years, just divide 3000 by 24 months,
ull get the rough idea of how much just a bike instalment would be
there are something which u need to pay yearly and monthly and occasionally,
if we explain to u each details it will probably demoralise u,
so why not u just ask around bit by bit to ur frens who own a bike or ask us
one by one...
be prepared mentally that u have to pay many things
Actually, I beg to differ.
Since you're looking for scooter like Honda Wave, it's probably gonna be cheap. That is if you're lucky to get a good condition bike so that you don't have to spend money on repairs, so you'll just have to pay for the machine price (price of the bike)
The rest are the miscellaneous stuffs such as road tax, insurance, season parking as well as petrol which will be rather cheap for a 2B scooter.
If I'm not wrong, the fuel consumption of Honda Wave is around 40KM/L. One litre of petrol is $2. You do the math.
from my exp riding wave during my time with pizza hut...riding around woodlands in..say 35 trips a day could empty the tank liao..the range is actually 30
jst that wave has a small tank sooo...uve to frequent the pump
you can view the market prices of second hand bikes @
Bukit Merah Queensway,
Ubi Industrial Park (Near TP HQ),
Jalan Besar.
www.singaporebikes.com/forums (have a experienced rider or someone who knows about bike to view it with you)
the problem with forum is that some sellers like to dilly dally, for fast sale its best to approach shop.
depending on how much your d/p is, interest is about 0.07 p/a. transfer fee $100, agreement fee $200.
so payment is like
(Machine Price + Insurance + transfer fee + agreement fee ) - downpayment * 1.07 for 1 year / 12 months = XXX.XX the amount you pay
second hand bike like a wave will probably costs you around $3k + including insurance depending on year made, your age and etc.
wave is very low maintenance bike, probably around 45 - 55 km per litre?
and the full tank size is probably about 4 or 4.5 litres.
other bikes like wave are, Yamaha X1, Yamaha Sparks 110, Yamaha Sparks 135 (T135), Yamaha 125Z (2 Strokes), Yamaha X1-R(new bike OTR, 2 double disc brakes back and front), Suzuki Raider, Yamaha Nouvo etc.
