quoting LTA regulations, any modifications are illegal, but it's really not visible, so the likelihood of being caught is very low, unless during annual inspections.
other than the aprilia, most restrictions are placed in the form of a spacer at the header portion, or a spacer at the muffler. only heard of the milo tin with restrictor plates at the belly.
if the mech opens up the belly to remove restrictor plates (if there're any to start with), make sure the welding is properly done.
after derestriction, be sure to get the jettings done. the mech
should know.
