hi all, just a few qns that want to ask.
1) is it a crime if i stop at a traffic light and i use my hp to sms or call, when the light is still red?
2) phantom back and front tire must pump how many air? i today pump, 220 for front and 235 for back, is it ok?
1) no idea. wouldn't it be better to stop at the side of the road to make a call or send a sms? u might hold up traffic if u dun keep your hp in time and at the same time u should reduce any uneccessary rushing situations.
2) depends on your tyre model. do not exceed the max load number located at your tyre sidewall.
from SBF
"Certain pple prefer a lower front higher rear for phantom since the rear has to sustain much more weight. But the recommended pressure is 29PSI for both tyres. Since its a 1:1 ratio. 30PSI both tyres is ok."
1. Yes. Still an offence, you must at least move to the side. But then you have the double yellow lines. Best to get into a drive way or carpark to make/receive calls.
2. F 220/B 235 was what I was told when I first purchase my new Phantom 200. But when I changed tyres, the mechanic told me it was too high. He bounced it and it was like a solid tyre. I then reduce to 210/225. I can't remember what he recommended, but I found that too soft and so kept to 210/225.
Too soft a tyre, loses air quickly. I did not ride for a few days and the mechanic recommendation went flat on me. I actually used my bicycle pump to pump the tyre up and rode to the petrol station.
Too hard, less friction, run faster, no grip on road ( dangerous in wet and sandy conditions)
Too soft, more grip, more friction, consumes more fuel, cornering your foot peg scrapes the road.
Slightly below the max is better.
