Bike Alarms

  Where to get good n cheap alarms?Heard that bike alarms drain batt power?Any guys here have installed alarms?Comments pls...Thanks

  My bike has bike alarm, it's D.I.Y though. It comes with a remote to activate or deactivate the alarm but unlike some, mine can't start the engine as my is kick start bike so no use. Sensitivity can be adjusted. sometime if you adjust to the highest and your bike is covered, when wind blows, the alarm will activate. Loudness is quite loub as from 11th floor oso can hear.

  saw my fren used one b4.. u attach it to the front wheel and it comes wif it's own batt.. so no nothing to do wif the bike's batt. the alarm very loud aso.. and sounds sibei irritating.. ( hehe..anyway i suppose alarms can't possibly sound soothing to the ear ba)
  
  costs $60. but i heard from him dat the lock is easy to "cut open" and yes.. it's very sensitive. ( too sensitive infact)

  Sounds like the Xena Disc Alarm available from Looi's and Motoworld. Very bulky and heavy to lug around and is really very sensitive.

  As for mine, i placed it in my bike where the tools are. And TongEh, mi confirm coz I stay at 11th floor mah. It will actiavte the alarm when anyone juz slightly knock it, sometime even when bike passby it will go off oso, depending on how much sensitivity you adjust lah. One thing it's connected to the bike batt, so I changed to dry cell batt. Aaron saw it before, can ask him.
