Riding Etiquette on Eway

We are taught to ride in the middle of a lane during our learning lessons. However i encounter pple will still try to overtake u at half of the lane and in the process try to squeeze us out.
Another situation is unless we stay in between 2 lanes (lane marking-more dangerous) or close to the lane marking allowing pple to overtake shld they want to. Only at clear situation, move back to the middle of lane..
Which is the recoomended safety way??
Irregardless of which, I also experienced some asshole drivers,usually lorry drivers. tailgating me when i am at 80km on the middle lane,which i 'LL' give way to them, but they just speed up and overtake...

wat my father asked me to do is not to ride in the middle of the lane when there is car infront of me..... he says at least when the stupid driver wanna so stupid things, i will still have time to siam....
i do tat, but not to siam, but to squeeze thru them.... hehe -
staying in between lanes let u have a clearer view of what is going on infront ...
but of cos there is good or bad ...
still i think ... best is you the rider have a clear view of what's infront is most important -
ride in the middle of the lane n dun road hog, any idiot try to overtake u with half his car in ur lane, accelerate and horn, do it in a way u dun risk ur life, horn continously if u have too
sometime u gotta to tell the driver u r really pissed
illegal to point middle finger, dun think its illegal to give a thumbs down -
alternatively... practise road courtesy, when someone wants to overtake you, give way.

Just my point of view...
We bikers oso pay road tax to travel on road, so I personally think we have the rights to travel on a center of lane, no need to squeeze btwn lanes.
Unless overtaking, I usually travel on center of a lane. -

me middle of lane provided safe distance of 5-10 metres, otherwise, i follow the tyre line for the 4 wheelers cos when u see the four wheeler in front of u swerve, there could be some obstacle on the road and we have time to take evasive action. but dun 'spill' to the other road... -

i signalled right, keep right on the lane 2, haven't switch yet, one corolla came and jam his horn for 2 secs,,frightened me a little.. like tell me to get off from his path which i have yet to check blind spot before moving in, i was pissed and i horn the asshole back...

yeap tt was instructor told me, but drivers(usually lorry drivers which cannot go to lane 1, will tailgate u at abt 80km and sometimes, overtake u at half lane 2 and half lane 1.. trying to squueze you out in the process... also they will think u are just a small vehicle and therefore shldn't stay middle of lane..Originally posted by RainXP:Just my point of view...

I just give way to them, no point let them tailgate me and endanger my life. There are just too many idiots who just cannot "tahan" follow behind bikes one lah, if they wish to go die first, let them lor

Sigh early monday am, accident at Tuas underpass.. near tuas fire station, bike pissed a car back causing a bad dent in the car...sad...must have follwed too close..
