Yeah! U've got the answer... If u've never modified yr bike b4, leave the oil jet alone... That's the original setting... Juz tell the mech to tune the air jet...Originally posted by ^TzM 53^:i think hor... we thinking too extreme liao... wad i think is simply...the valve..
most bikes the valves open at this point if not near this point... tzm got valve...sp oso got valve...if the knocking is there after u full ball the throttle... it means.... yr yu jet is too big...pls bare in mind tt bigger oil jet does not mean it will b faster
You sure your valve opens at 5k rpm?Originally posted by otacon:There's something wrong with my NSR150. I suspected is my carburetor that caused the problem. Whenever my rpm is before 4500 and after 5000, the bike goes smoothly. What happens between rpm 4500 and 5000 is that my bike will start to shake as if not enough fuel or too much fuel rushing in. So I guess between rpm 4500 and 5000, it's when my valve opens, causing this problem.
I hope you people understand what i meant. I was wondering if any NSR riders faces the same problem. Or whoever knows what the problem, please reply to this topic.
I agree, cos my TZRR also like tt.Originally posted by LexZEUS:this is normal ah.. in fact I use this RPM range to maintain speed and it tends to consume less petrol (5'th gear or 6'th gear at 4-5k rpm, should be 60-70km/h at constant speed)..
I think this happened to all bike coz last time I ride Yamaha skipper 110 cc oso like this..
i think the fuel needle in the carb needle position is rich. set it at a clip leaner ....think will solve the problem .But by doing this it will lower down the power of the bike.Originally posted by otacon:I was just thinking if there's any newbies in the forum, have a solution to the above problem, but never see this topic and so I decide to bring this topic alive again.
Btw, what's market rate for a second hand's NSR150SP. My NSR150SP plate starts with FP. I asked one motor shop, they buying in at $2200+. I was shocked cos I bought at $6000+.
