  Is it tt we can drag our gears a little before we do a gear change?
  Will it still affect the bikes?

  Some mechanics will tell u that you can actually increase the rpm a little after each run in ... i.e. 1st run in ... rpm 4 ... 2nd run in ... rpm 5 and so on ... But different bike different thing ... different mechanics also say different thing ...
  
  But the main thing to look out for during running in is not really always the dragging and the speed limit thing (though many always emphasize on this area). Another important aspect is that they get a good run-in through the gears ... i.e. you engage all the gears often ... therefore normally during running in it is good to go along normal roads and not expressways ... so that you always get to shift through all the gears ...

  Do a 3000 km run-in, after that you can drag ur gears and play liao, but dun do it too often, cos is bad for the bike.

  well i tell u wad...u owaes run at 5k or 6k lor.. y for owaes drag and drag after run in....pple blow u den u drag la...if not slow slow mahz.
  dats wad i do for moi sp last time...1 yr wun spoilt 1.....spark plug oso don need change... but owaes don drag oso no good la... long long drag 1 time.. everydae drag.. veli stress... later bike tell u "i'm sick.." den u liaO..
