Aprilia in Sg.... sux?

My name is Ryu and I live in Singapore and I am a big fan of Aprilia bike. Last year I bought a Replica RS125 and confidently thought it was the best 125cc bike around. But alas!! I did not notice Singapore Government ( I live in Singapore ) ban the original Aprilia RS exhaust pipe and fitted on a lousy fat “milo” exhaust pipe which kills the top speed of the RS125, 200kmh to a slow 150kmh. Not only that, the temperature of the bike increases rapidly because the “milo” exhaust pipe refused to allow the hot air out more efficiently… that is a major cause on why RS125 encounter plenty problems. Imagine your body cannot release the heat out for a prolog period of time!!!
RS125 is a very good bike but because of Singapore Government, itÂ’s now a problematic bike. Unless Aprilia Company fights for their original RS exhaust pipe to be allowed in Singapore, if not IÂ’ll be selling off my Aprilia soon. I am sure thereÂ’ll be lesser and lesser people buying the 125cc Aprilia in the future if this goes onÂ… Â… -

i too have the RS125 and have already got TWO illegal modifications tickets! the first was for $500, but i wrote a complaint letter to the LTA and they increased it to $800. The second ticket was $500. And my new pipe cost me $450.
i am getting it hollowed out soon, so maybe I can go faster.
the was this government thinks is so childish. now we must be criminals just to have bikes that run fine. -

In SG, Aprilia is not suckx, those who say aprilia sucks maybe they are jealouse of the design. I owned an aprilia extrema & i know the government is damn strict on the exhaust pipe.But to those who really a daredevil like me,change to an arrow pipe rather than that stupid big pipe that run our aprilia slow.i am using arrow pipe & i never been caught with any tp,so my advise to those who use arrow pipe,when u go out,be careful of tp;]

Well all bike are the same.... if your wanna keep a nice record and be afraid of gettin caught then ride your bike with the milo kong if not just mod the bike and whack it man... not as if u everyday see TPs on the road

May TPs who read these should feedback to the government that Arrow pipe is actually road friendly... hehe My first bike was also aprilia, the Valentino Rossi model. Not powerful, but no problems for me also. *thats becoz i maintain the bike*
and yah, aprilia in Italy etc etc original is POWER, SUPER. The first batch aprilia in SG is also SUPER... but only suxx due to the stupid power restriction... what the fuck right???
WE PAID SO MUCH OF OUR MONEY for a bike which has been tampered with??? Ridiculous right?? The oirginal power of 200km/h sells for lets say $10K, but in SG the fucking government cut the power by 1/4 but the price never cut by 1/4... KANINA BU! WHAT THE FUCK THEY DOING MAN!!! LETS PROTEST!!! TOKING ABT THIS I MORE AND MORE ANGRY NOW!!! -

The new aprillia has a aprillia pipe with it. so no more fear of tp, because they allow already. I hear coming out already, but i haven't see it on the road. Because people say it very very expensive, the original pipe of aprillia cost $1500. Now the main things is wether you guy know how to use it or control.

Forget it...its not going to be approved....SG is too damn strict over emission levels, power restriction...and more ever Aprilia had came out with the Milo exhaust....the SG government would definitly use the Milo exhaust rather than the original RS pipe...though with the original RS pipe top speed is only 160-170km/h compared to the fast top ends of the 150cc bikes...SG government just love to see slow bikes....

Wat u says got the point also, but 4 sure Aprilia's company gonna fight 4 it, if not, sure not many people in the future is going 2 get Aprilia with that ugly big pipe, it would affect their business 2, sure the company also dun want 2 have bad business, then the only way is 2 fight 4 the more nice looking rs pipe. It doesn't matter the top speed juz 160 - 170km/h, first impression comes.

If Aprilia would really wanted to fight for it, it would not come out with the Milo exhaut in the first place..there are no current lack of aprilia lovers and buyers now...and the real beauty of this bike makes up for the stupid milo exhaust....if the mil exhaut could hit 170km/h..do u think most would mind? I think most would prefer performance than appearance... just a personal view.

Somemore, brand new Aprilia so expensive lah, all the ppl juz go 4 brand new SP already, coz it's much much more cheaper than Aprilia.

if u wanna buy...buy a original bike..thn mod. yrself...its more ex. but at least u noe wat is inside. if u buy a mod. bike wait yr internals like rojak like tt...somemore mod oredi...must mantain it properly...and if previous owner mod b4...means..he surely wack the bike jia lat jia lat..so..i think the engine oso going to ki chia liao ...hehee

Yap! But, the rs pipe here there's a "ARROW" logo on it, which is everybody knows lah, is illegal. Yet, the new rs pipe there's a "APRILIA" logo on it, that's wat I heard it from IDEAL MOTOR SPORT, it's legal. So far, haven't heard of any news when is it official in SG, juz the mechanic told me around mid in this yr, but yet 2 confirmed.
