Yeah! U're rite... Powercut is place in a few places... Changing the CDI only remove certain percentage of the powercut... The other powercut at the exaust... Dun kanna bluff by ppl who sell CDI coz racing CDI is bigger in size which can't even fit into the small gap the normal CDI use to be... The small CDI is those from FP plate one... no it wun affect engine life span.
It is just the ciruit itself that prevent excessive current from flowing through, inside the circuit there maybe a few resistors with torlerances that prevent excessive flow of current.The few high value resistors can be replaced by lower value resistors if proper calculation are made not to burn the circuit out.......

Actually i think stock SP is fast enough for s'pore roads liao... Y everyone so keen to mod their bike change tis change dat etc...
SP,TZM,Kawa are all around the same speed one mah... dat's y everytime got ppl say tis bike faster than dat bike and vice versa...
when 2 bikes are around the same catagory,the problem lies with the rider lor... dat's jus my point of view cos i tot modification is dat impt lor... hehe -
