I got into a minor accident but obtain scratches on my fairing and some other parts. Tinking of re-spraying my bike. What are the costs like and where is recommended? I often service at my bike shop so is it recommended I just ask them to do it for me? Its ASPhoon.
How much does the following cost now? Can provide some clues?
1. Insurance
2. New spray
3. Foot peg (For rider and pillion)
4. Handlebar and level
5. Side mirror
6. Signal light
7. License plate (Can use yellow background with black wordings? Seem alot of bike using but its illegal rite?)
8. TT900 Tyres (recommended for SP rite?)
Please help. I intend to slowly change them one by one... -
Another to add... exhaust pipe also... how much and what is good?
My coolant refill oreadi like oways overheat one... then din decrease abit for the past year... wat went wrong? before refill alrite lei... sigh... any ideas? gears oso hard to change now... -
What i heard from my mech is that the coolant should not be full one and the they mix water with it....

cool any can mix with DISTILLED WATER not water....
the reasons why ur gear hard to kick is becos its time to change ur 4T liao.....
recommand u slikolene 2 T and 4T its gd.

2t is for 2 strokers...4t is for 4 stroker but it can be used for 2 strokers as engine oil/gear oil or commonly known as "OR YU"/Black Oil...pls correct me if i'm wrong -
do at asphoon? my fren bike also bought from there, but he doesn't do servicing there cos he says the mechanics there like buay zai one...so maybe can go other shops service like first motor or go JB(maybe can get cheaper prices...).......Originally posted by kokomo:1. if u wan today (22/03/02) we r going into jb wan tab along?
actually 2 strokes bikes use gear for ur gears are better cos the lubricant is only use for gears but 4T also can.4 strokes bikes use 4T mainly the 4T can also almost be use for lubrication in gears and piston.
therefore 4T is better for 4 strokes and gear oil is better for 2 strokes!
in any case both gear oil and 4T can be use for both.
but 2T only can use for 2 strokes.

3. Foot peg (For rider and pillion)(go jb find tons of cheap stuff sure got)
4. Handlebar and level(handlebar maybe abit xpensive but u can always get a 2nd one at around maybe 40 to 50)
5. Side mirrorside mirror also can get in jb cheaper)
6. Signal light(im afraid sp signal lights jb dun have but can always try think i can get)
7. License plate (Can use yellow background with black wordings? Seem alot of bike using but its illegal rite?)
8. TT900 Tyres (recommended for SP rite?)(can spend a bit more for Brigdestone BT 56 no need side stand to park ur bike also can stand up right!!!)

if u wana service or do ur bike dun juz go for the cheapest lor, the mechanics and service are also impt and good services n mechanics of coz will haf to pay abit more lor but i tink it's worth it

tongeh, LTA allows yellow plate, but the front must be white. i got this from some LTA guy. he actually bothered to call me up to tell me, cos i sent them email. either both black, or front white/rear yellow. but you're right, the numbers must be black for the white/yellow combination.Originally posted by tOngEh:7. ya i noe tat some coolant needs to mix wif distilled water... wat needs to be maintain wif the bike? i currently service oni the black oil and 2t... my fren often say must wash filter... carbonator etc... is it really necessary... if go bike shop ask them service they will noe when to do for you? like when to change spark plug? or i need to ask them do myself one? my bike fell oreadi siao siao... now so light! something very wrong...
