I am considering of buying -
hi ppl.
i seem to have a problem with my sp.
the total milege for my bike now read abt 820km. sometimes or i would say most of the time, i take as long as 5mins to start my bike (in the mornings or when my bike is unused for a couple of days)... even with the help of the choke.
i've serviced my bike twice. once at abt 300km (using castrol rs) and another at abt 750km (using rock oil). the mechanic asked me to try out the rock oil coz he said alot of sp users are using rock oil... hmmm... btw, which oil is supposedly better?
i'm using rock oil now (prefer castrol rs though) and denso iridium sparks plug.
any ideas or suggestions?

p/s: my fren who owns a sp (he virtually never send his bike for servicing or even wash his bike! lolz) starts his bike with at most 5 kicks.

Hi,
When was the last time you tune and service your carb.? It does affects if you never service the carb for too long. Also, it might be the coil which is the cause of the problem. Everytime u kickstart the bike, it causes a burn in the coil. If it is the coil that causes the problems, it will cost quite a boom.

anyway, my bike is just abt 1-mth old. as i mentioned earlier, i seldom use the bike and i'm still in the midst of running-in (it's only about 850km now). i doubt it's the fault of the cab..

Nope, im not the person u r referring to. I'm quite new to this forum actually. Came across here just a few days ago. After reading what u just write, perhaps spark plug problem? I think you should go back to the motorshop which u bought it to ask them have a check. Having difficulty starting your bike is not a good synthom.

damn the sp.the damn spare parts are x man. i will advice anyone who want a fast bike to get a zx or tzm because the two can be found in m'sia, the spart parts can buy there. the insurance excess also very high. if i had known better i will not but the damn bike. so all the poor guys out there take my advice. i dont care about the looks, what use is it when u lose.

and about $900 for the UPS.
It's very, very hard to get it register for
the street. I'll have been calling, contacting places but no hope. They have
banned the 2-stroke bikes since 1986.

i just got my new sp on 13th march for $6500.
first time on bike, like the advise from expert here.
The questions is ask for my run-in
1.wat is the max speed during this period?
2.at wat rpm to engage to next higher gear?
3.how many km for the run-in?
4.i seem to have problem getting neutral gear during stopping? -

as long as ur rpm don go over 6 for every gear, u will be save, or stay below 80kph.....
runing in for sp shld be ard 1200km.......
u find it hard to find neutral mayb cos ur clutch is too "near" go adjust it.....

SP at 6000rpm at 6th gear will be at around 90+ to 100km liao. in fact run-in 4 SP is below 5000rpm until the first 800km change the engine oil then by this time u can go slightly faster maybe below 6000rpm until 1600km change the engine oil again then u can go as fast as u like but in SG how fast can u go?my advice is use fully sythetic 2t u will feel the diferent and 4 the plug u can change 2 NGK B9EV or Denzo Iridium

hi all, i have just pass my tp and i am searching for a honda nsr sp150.do you guys know of any motorshop that sell sp150 at a reasonable price?? and if i am looking for a 2nd hand sp, what are some of the things that i should look out for to prevent being con.( i am a newbie and dunno about the market price)

hey wats the different between the iridium compare to the other normal denso spark plug.
Well i have fixed the iridium plug and i feel no different...

aprilia dun have power cut is because the milo tin is their powre cut. original aprilia exhuast pipe is the RS pipe, but LTA decided to use milo tin becoz more enviro frenly, less noisy, and it reduces top speed from 190 to 150.
countries in the world are using rs pipe for their rs125s, only singapore and another european country are using the milo pipe. 1st batch of aprilia (extremas) came wif rs pipes, but it got rejected. 2nd batch came wif milo pipes, and got accepted.
aprilia is good in that becoz of thicker rear tyre it is more stable in corner, but then, wif skill n guts, the SP can corner as well as the aprilia too.
GP 125cc class tyre sizes are front 110 n back 130, just like SP.

136km - 90km = 46km.
shld be minus only 8pts.
n dun have to go court one, if he got give u a ticket on the spot, u see carefully there is a small part there that says if u pay the fine, then u dun need go court liaoz.
