Any idea to prevent fairing being stolen??

My right fairing was stolen!! Anybody have right side NSR SP fairing to sell cheap? I only need 1 piece which has big air-flow hole (middle, right side). If can, an used one coz I want to respray it (black). Quote the price please.
Any tips to prevent my fairing being stolen again next time?

Sorrie to ask but how it got stolen?? Where?? Your house??? Me riding sp also, damn scaring. It's been a trend to have your bike fairing gana stolen

U know what I did?? I fixed an alarm so that whenever anyone touches my bike, the alarm will sound

I park my bike behind OUB public cark park at geylang east central... I go to OUB at lunch time, got a long queue, so it is about 30 minutes, when I went back and I wanted to kick start, suddenly I feel that the fairing was gone!
The OUB Geylang East Central is opposite of Geylang Meth Primary School...
Hey, where you buy that alarm, how much? Is it aloud enough to scare culprit?
Can give me more info abt this alarm? I want to buy one...

Fix a real gd alarm... At least when ppl who tries to steal something he/she'll panic... This will also alert ppl who're nearby(those kaypo ppl)& they might help u call the police too...

This depends where u want to get it fix... My friend do it in m'sia city sq basement carpark where they do those speakers for cars... Cheap & it sound so gd... Almost like car's alarm... Hopes this helps...

the fairing is only $25 at ah boy...
can change the screws to allen key if u want or respray ure bike to a unique paintwerk. the main reason they steal fairing is bcos very hard to get the original sp repsol colours( stickers dammn ex)

the stickers are sold for M$60++ in a Shopping Centre in Malacca. The stickers are made in Thailand.
For respray, remember dun go to Hock Kim Leong at Bukit Merah. Charge mi $320 for respray single color.
He told me iz top quality paint but the lacquer damn soft, i brush across can scratch liao. -

Today I bought the fairing from ah boy at $28, then bought 10 pieces of allen key screws. Next week want to buy alarm some more from the same shop at $20 (one with battery).
I sprayed the fairing black using pylox, now can already... but the surface is not as good as original, but quite shiny...
So, anyone know how to polish with lacquer? Where got sell? Is it spray one or sweep one? Dangerous or not if kena skin?

if you brush on the lacquer, you will not get an even and smooth coat.
best is to use spray, but then spray not easy lah, then must use alot of bottles to do. then if do bo ho sei, start from zero again; song ah!

2 days ago I succesfully sprayed the fairing black using pylox.. nice surface.. I could see my own reflection on the surface..
But, then yesterday I sprayed with coating but it ruined everything.. one big bubble drop from the tin to the fairing!! so I tried to remove it with tissue.. but the tissue stick to the fairing.. damn!!..
.. So I used dagger to remove the bad area and scrub it with sand paper.. then I sprayed and did coating again.. but the result is worse... can see a divider between the previous paint and the new paint..
From afar ... ok lah.. unnoticable ...
Guys, u all must buy alarm from ah boy next week.. it just cost $20 (with AAA or AA battery I forgot) can detect vibration..
If more people in SG uses alarm.. less thieves will be... -

Hey anyone out there sprayed their entire bike fairing by themselves before? I'm going to attempt to do it and spray it all silver, so i tried only on my grab rail first, then realised that the paint started to crack after a month bcos the lacquer wasn't even. So the alarm should detect the "shaking" and scream to scare the culprit...
Cos it is $20, you can buy 2 and put it on right and side fairing. So if anybody touch the bike from either left or right.. it will... heheheh .. and if that culprit touch the bike harshly .. there will be a big chance for 2 alarms to sound at once.. so more sound means scarier ... can get more attention from people arround.
But I dunno this $20 alarm is good one or not. But good alarm can adjust the vibration sensitivity. If too sensitive, then if got thunder the alarm will sound. The worst case if HDB/season/public parking officer try to check your parking cuopon... so try to make the coupon as viewable as possible, so the parking officer won't have to touch ur bike.. -

Got another alarm from ah boy which is $120, but this one powered by your bike battery... This one maybe can turn on the headlight or lock the key. -
Advice for D.I.Y spraying paint... Do it in a real hot day... Don't hold the spray can too near to yr faring(hold ard 30cm from yr faring)...
