I didn't know the alarm so cheap.... maybe not good one.... I go down with you to ah boy see see can.... cos last time got see one bike with alarm..... then someone kick the tyre and the alarm sounded..... think if ah boy one can do this ... then not bad leh.....Originally posted by LexZEUS:vibration means when someone touch your bike, your bike will shake, right?
So the alarm should detect the "shaking" and scream to scare the culprit...
Cos it is $20, you can buy 2 and put it on right and side fairing. So if anybody touch the bike from either left or right.. it will... heheheh![]()
.. and if that culprit touch the bike harshly .. there will be a big chance for 2 alarms to sound at once.. so more sound means scarier ... can get more attention from people arround.
But I dunno this $20 alarm is good one or not. But good alarm can adjust the vibration sensitivity. If too sensitive, then if got thunder the alarm will sound. The worst case if HDB/season/public parking officer try to check your parking cuopon... so try to make the coupon as viewable as possible, so the parking officer won't have to touch ur bike..
metalic silver or chrome silver? Chrome silver must be very hard.. I think u should use air brush not gas spray... Spray one is too strong, so the painting won't smooth. If not smooth, then chrome silver is ugly cos the dropling will be very obvious. I suggest u to ask motortiam to do it for you.Originally posted by feng125:Hey anyone out there sprayed their entire bike fairing by themselves before? I'm going to attempt to do it and spray it all silver, so i tried only on my grab rail first, then realised that the paint started to crack after a month bcos the lacquer wasn't even. Somemore where got so much space at my hdb multistorey carpark to put all the fairings while they dry? anybody got any experience u can share>?

If metalic silver should be ok one (like those on KRR). But, carefull when doing coating... must be aware from that dropling which drop from spraying hole. Must often wipe it with tissue and make sure that the hole doesn't have excess liquid or not blocked with dried paint residue. So, before each spraying, must try first on something else to be sure. Every spraying, don't press to long... the liquid will surely drop one.. maybe every 10 secs then wipe the hole, then continue again...
Eh eh ... I am not so sure oso leh.. maybe not very good one. But if you want to be secure, buy the $120 one... maybe quite good.Originally posted by aaron017:I didn't know the alarm so cheap.... maybe not good one.... Ok leh, when u want to go? But it should be next week ok? cos ah boy said next week (tuesday ??) ...
I can go ah boy maybe arround 18:30 coz I work...
Another thing about spraying paint:
Do the painting in closed room (maybe at your house)... don't forget to put unused news paper so the floor won't get dirty.
Don't do spraying at HDB parking area or any open area. Raining season got so many wind, and wind ruin everything (make the brust go unstraight)...
Can use fan to make the painting dried quickly, but don't use too strong wind, and the fan should be far (4 meters can lah)... Ceiling fan with medium strength works perfectly.. can dried my fairing over night.
at ah boy place... have you been there before?Originally posted by aaron017:$120 ... maybe is the beri good one lor.... hmm... next tuesday 18.30.... meet where?

Where u buy the alarm? how much?Originally posted by Rep150:I got an alarm whicj is operateds by your bike battery. It's like a car alarm which you can activate and de-activate it. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the alarm. Sometime when I cover my bike and strong wind blows, the alarm will activate. But there won't be any light on the headlight like you said. But it's loud enuff to hear from 11 floors up and scare away anyone that try to do funny business on your bike

I thought that there is a self-recharge device on the bike??? All you need is to fill more battery water at your workshop. But i recommand dry cell. Most big bikes use dry cellOriginally posted by LexZEUS:hmmm ... my NSR's battery is flat already.. bought August last year.. only 4 months?
Anybody ever recharged battery before? how long it takes and how much must pay?
How long usually battery can last after recharged?
