Lorry/pick ups/vans 60kmph sticker useless....

These 60kmph stickers on lorry/pickup/vans serve for what purpose huh?
Today, I was overtaken by a Class 4 lorry carry about 15 people (i think) behind, speeding close to 100kmph from the left side. Imagine what would happen if the lorry loose control..
Take 15 person's lives and play with, totally irresponsible driver
I dun know about you guys, during morning rush hours, I just dun know why these lorry/van/pickup drivers like to drive on the 2nd lane on the E'way and obstruct the traffic.
It seems that these speed limit stickers are just plain useless, people just simply disregard them

it human nature to take tings for granted. i bet there are alot of pple doing tings tat they know they shld not do.
example bike going thr in between traffic, vehicle speeding, ah ma J-walking.
they themselves know they are "endangering" theirs and our pple lifes. they oso not kan cheong wat can we do. have a kind heart, pray hard for them lor. -
u can take down their plate number and write to traffic police...

i agree with u seeing lorries and pickups,van running at the center lane.. those going 60 to 70km/h on the center lane is really consider a hogger.. but wat if they are travelling at speed limit of 80 to 90 in the center lane. issit consider obstructing traffic? secondly , i have seen alot of bikes flying around the road over the speed limit, causin danger to alot of drivers, irresponsible too i should say.Originally posted by octega:These 60kmph stickers on lorry/pickup/vans serve for what purpose huh?

so all kinds of transport, there are all kinds of drivers. there are even some who are using the phone when driving on the left lane going at 40km/h, car going left and right on the lane..
dun juz aim it at those with 60km/h behind.. motorbikers and other road user also juz simply disregard the 90km/h road side..

I agree with what you guys have said, but come to think of it, could vans/lorry/pickups are indirectly causing people to speed and disregard the speed limit sign just to overtake them?
The larger or heavier the vehicle gets, the longer the braking distance, I believe that this is the reason why lorry/pickup/vans are limit with the 60kmph stickers.
Considering the damage a car banging into you to a lorry banging into you...
But I think complaint here also no use right? Well...I think what I can do is to ride carefully on the road and stay clear of Vans, Lorries and pickup! (And not to mention taxi drivers, mercedes drivers, bmw dri...

Those drivers are not like those driving cars or riding bikes ... The slow movement of traffic is due to road users trying to get out of expressway last min ... road users trying to get to the right lane fast ... Get what i mean ?
I drive a lorry & van & car ... For your info i do drive on 2nd lane or even 1st lane on the expressway during peak hour

not all commercial vehicle are slow... and i have seen bodykitted van running with cars tailgating.. its onli the chassis tat is restricting the speed of the van... if not.... ahhahhhahhh -

everyone breaks the law, plays ard with it, till a TP is ard and all automatically keep left again, once a few hundred metres away, time to race again....
its always a cat catch mice game...
seen to many of such cases..
however if it puts one's life in danger, than i will not hesitate to send an email to TP -

imagine if u are the lorry driver , will u really stick to the speed limit?
peak hours everyone also rushing 1~ sum pple wont care even they are hogging the traffic, tats wat sum singaporeans are like,

One more point that I wish to point out:- Vans, pickups and lorries have high body, a car or motorcycle behind can't see infront of these vehicles. Area of perception decrease so does judgement for the vehicle behind it, increasing the risk of the vehicle behind.
That is why my tip for Motorcyclist:- DO NOT follow behind Vans, lorries, pickups and trailers. -
Today i as i was going on ECP towards parco... on the way got one BIG TRUCK (a skipper) overtaking me at more than 100km and its fast... zippin and overtakin cars on lane 3 and 4... scary... even down the bend at the shear bridge can tail gate a bmw high speed corner... i see the taxi beside it i oso scare the truck topple over... idiotic imbecile driver
