  hi ppl, newcomer here, do advise me along the way... cigarettes prices increasing and increasing, this made me see red over the government... it's getting ridiculose... the government seems determine to make money, determine to take away our rights... they really have to rem cigarettes play a big part in the economy... hai. no $$$, hw to survive..

  btw the goverment do that cause they want to encourage smokers to quit or ultimately pay the price..Its not they want to make money.

  I'm not supporting the goverment liao to say first...
  Gov. put ERP to encourage people to take public transport..So that there will be less polution in the air liao.
  
  They make the COE and stuffs due to the same reasons as above..Discourage people from driving.If you insist, then have to pay liao..
  
  Another way for the gov to earn some profits/money to make more schools, roads and public facilties..
