I just got myself a Magma lately. Real nice bike but then, my first bike and so, sample space to compare is small. Anyone can advise what sort of maintenance is involved, maybe just briefly?

I got my Magma at GHC too. Why you call them a black shop? So far, quite ok for me. I bought a 4year old silver magma for under 2k. Am relatively new to biking. Any self-maintenance of this bike required? -
once i parked my phantom150 beside a daelim magma. i took a look, wah the design of the 2 is very very similar, right down to the speedometer, and how the general appeareance of the 2 bikes. the few difference i saw was magma has bigger headlight and signal lights. that bike with only 125cc can take ah? does it feel sluggish or slow?
so i tot the daelim magma and phantom150 veri alike. skali i saw the daelim VT. man, it looked exactly like the magma with an extra pipe on the other side. eh these 3 bikes is triplets separated at birth izzit?

i not sure whether who copy who, but i tink is honda thailand copied from daelim wan... cos magma came out 1st. Daelim claimed that they r the 1st to produce speedometers on the fuel tank....

i say ghc black shop bcoz i got it at 4K+ so u think ex? mine fq plate. till now i just change oh you lor sparks plug havent change yet. i ride for 2mths liao. top spped i got is 110km/h i got oso put in oh you cheng to make it smoother. can feel the dif when first time i use onli oh you nia. whos ur saleman? mine Philips. Be4 sale tok till so gd after sale kena sai!!! but anyway just using it for transport nia lah.

I also bought from Philip. Initially Ah Peng quoted me 1.8k and when Philip took over on another occasion, my gf got it down to 1.75k with a free helmet. My bike's engine got some strange vibrations. Is it because they just repaired the gearbox? My fifth gear was shot and they changed it but now, the bike can go abit faster but my hands go numb at the end of a long ride.
What oil you using? Change yourself ah?

If you take a look at this site (http://www.ec21.net/co/k/kbb0101/pgroup.html?grp=22), you will notice that some of the bikes are called Daelim Honda. Maybe Phantom design was copied from there? Before I bought the bike, salesman said Magma price drop like crazy because of Phantom but otherwise, most of the parts are interchangeable. Hence, no worries about spare parts. You heard of this before? -
cb philps sell me so ex , wats ur insur huh? mine ntuc 1st party $637.00 total for my bike is $4.2k. na bei like kena cheated. b4 that he told easy lah spare part but after i buy he say nw this model price drop, worthless, slow, spare part hard to find lah ex lah all the thing he say nia lor. damn fed up so advice dun go there. but is it true really part can interchangble with phamtom? if can good. mine top speed 110km/h, i change my oil myself, the socket is sized 17. i use essos gold plus abit of oil treatment for it to b smoother. next time goin to try mobile 1. i seen the yellow one b4 looked nice, i thought of respray mine to white leh, dunno hw much. ur handle bar virbrate huh, is it when wan to stop n moving that time very jia luck? mine used to b like that but after i change my bearings ok liao. -

Philip sold me a Mitsui third party fire and theft insurance, about $360. Was it compulsory to buy first party? Really quite expensive.
My top speed is also about 110km/h but that's going down slope. On level ground, haven't tried yet.
It was actually my engine which is vibrating. It comes and goes, very strange. Its like between a certain speed range, it'll vibrate.
Do you feel that some times, your gears are slipping? I mean, like going uphill and not enough power, you can hear 'klack klack' sound in the gearbox? Mine's like that, I think they gave me worn gears. Damn smelly.
Bro, you know how to change spark plugs yourself? By the way, where do you live? Maybe can meet you some day to seek your advice. Am really new at bikes. -

Don't let Philip's attitude affect you. You are buying the bike, not buying him. Go shop around and get the bike of your dreams with the best price. GHC might yet give you a good price. Maybe you can try ah peng as well. Attitude before is quite ok. But like bro inspire has said, after sales might be a bit different. -
I've got a Daystar.... for these bikes, take care their engine oil. This is the most important thing. Cause this baby is oil cool.

sori never reply for quite sometimes liao. i change the oil myself but sparks plug havent yet. i perfer to DIY all these by myself. how u know ur tank corr liao? mine i think oso got coz when take off the cab, c inside rust liao. u using wat oil huh? me goin to try shell 4 stroke, dunno got diff anot. Ya , sometime my gear will slip from 1st to netrual one, dunno y. got once nearly hit by a car. i stayin bedok north ave 1 549 , wat about u? maybe can cum out n c how our bikes r.

I bought my new phantom from philips too , well, i dun go back to that shop beside paying for my installment only, dun trust their mechanic, talking abt insurance, yours ntuc, did u request or they just choose ntuc for you? cause mine china insurance. I thinking of getting 2 party next year, by then i will hit 25 liao, riding experience also 3 years loh, dun wan to pay so much for insurance.

Bro inspire78, good to hear from you again. I haven't serviced my bike yet, almost two months already. But I have used the bike for only about 550km. How many km before you change engine oil? The mechanic at GHC asked me to come back every 500km, that¡¦s like every week if I ride daily man. Its ridiculous. My friends told me mostly between 3000-5000km. What¡¦s the distance before you change?
My oil tank¡Kdon¡¦t say man. The cheapskates at GHC drained almost every drop of petrol before they sold the bike to me. Imagine I stay in Toa Payoh and he even advised me not to ride home, not enough petrol. Its only like one PIE exit!! So, no oil inside and the tank started rusting. Can see the rust inside. ƒ¼
Same problem about the gears, sometimes also quite difficult to engage first gear from neutral.
Do you use V-power? Am using V-power now, seems like some difference. If I drag 5th gear long enough, can go 115km/h man!!
