yeaa tis is to all those idiots who buang a nsr150sp...i would like to say Congratulations becoz now i haf to give up my beloved nsr becoz the farking insurance juz shot up to 1200 BUCKS PER YEAR...
frm 650 dollar actually can skyrocket to 1200 bucks u all very good at getting accidents huh
now nsr sp is no1 blackbike in all insurance company coz the accident rate is the HIGHEST......to those assholes bengs who keep speeding n then buanging....OBI GOOD hope ya all cannot ride also.... -

third party also so ex ah? your bike on instalments right? check the hire purchase agreement to see if you MUST get 1st party or not... if you have at least a photocopy of the log card, get TPFT or 3rd party.. easier on your pocket.. there was a post on this i think...

actually you can't really blame the people that buang, nobody buangs on purpose (except for a certain guy i know).
rather, it is the fault of those shops that exploit the insurance companies by jacking up their prices and claiming new parts for anything with even just a dent.
the insurance system itself is flawed, too many loopholes, look at china insurance, gotta pay $800k to someone becoz 1 of their customers knocked into him.
if there was a cap on the payouts given, the problem might not be that bad. -

Hey, u can't juz blame riders for the insurance highjack. If u choose to ride an SP, why can't others? Honda did not manufacture this bike juz for u. They dun care if some Ah Bengs buy this bike, and wat's wrong with Ah Bengs buying the bike, they are using the same money as u to but the bike. Yes, some of their behaviours is condammable, but nobody wants to purposely go hurt himself/herself. Nobody is happy abt this insurance highjack.
I juz got involved in an accident which i am damn fucked up abt. So maybe seeing this post agitates me a little. I had nv claimed any insurance b4 this. And I may not for this incident as I may claim the other party's insurance. I hoped I get my points across, coz this is a very biased and selfish post. No offense. -

i juz cant believe the insurance become so high sia..... looks like its really hard to own a sport bike now especially when u r ard ya 20s...i ask the person wats the age group for cheaper insurance and she told me ard 28yr old or late 20s.....i cant imagine a 29yr old riding sp.....

in a way the hike is also caused by bikers who buang.. not exactly the workshop's fault for jacking up prices. if your bike gets hit or damaged, it's common mentality to want to change every damn thing so that it's as good as new right? think that partly accounts for the massive amounts insurance companies pay out.. but with that said, there's a very good shop to kill the other party's insurance right?? i heard in alexandra one.. haha...

Cannot pay insurance, juz go buy some other bikes u can afford. Dun target ppl with ur words. Unless u can tell me u everytime see Ah bengs purposely go buang SP? If u mean Ah bengs who rides sp are reckless and cause more accidents, then I always hear ppl in the forum chiong max speed and kup corners. Then there are so many Ah bengs in the forum?
I am not defending Ah Bengs, but this is very unfair targetting of ppl. I believe sometimes u do ride recklessly, I believe anyone does sometimes, juz a matter of luck whether u meet with accident. Pls think b4 u write such bias stuffs.

huh? i dun tink i understand hw cum so high the insurance lei. u tokin new bike or renew? i juz renew insurance oni $500+ for ntuc comprehensive lei. its standard. the prices din go up at all for the past yrs... so i abit dun understand... hehe... but then again i got 10% ncd and 5% loyalty (ntuc policyholder) so 15% discount off the usual $688... maybe under 21 and under 1 yr experience more ex ba...

that time i checked the ntuc premium list, under 21 + p plate = almost 1.5k premium.
so, if renew, minus NCD n loyalty is around 1.2k (actually, 1.3k)?
maybe got other factors?
different insurance companies charge differently. ntuc premium is easily to calculate DIY style becoz of the points system they use.
as for mitsui, i saw the premium sheet b4, but i don't remember how it's calculated, i just remember it's sky high.
