Just got my 2B Licence!

I took the test (for the 3rd time) today at BBDC and passed. Phew.. finally.
After looking at the posts in here, it seems rather scary to know that the accident rate for bikes in singapore is that high.
But for me, I'm just looking at transport (and possibly a 2A bike after a year or two).. no mods, no tweaks.. just for the joy of riding.
A rare mentality for a 21 year old, as some may say.. but I believe that life is precious.. just a mere range of 10km/h may save yours or others.
I'll be shopping for a 2nd hand bike in the next few months.. need to save up my pitiful NS allowance. -

firstly, have to learn from one of the 3 driving schools? no such thing as private?
secondly, the riding theory test is not the driving theory test?
thirdly, to take the riding theory test, HAVE to go through the theory lessons? cannot learn ourselves, apply for the test and just take?
fourthly, after 2b, MUST wait 1 yr AND take the 2a lessons and test den can convert to 2a?

1) Yes, there is no private learning for Class 2B. However, you may book for extra self-practice lessons, which are cheaper than normal lessons or revisions.
2) Yes, the riding theory test is not the basic theory test.. it has been modified so that it caters to motorcyclists.. but it is quite similar.
3) It is a requirement now that all trainees go through the 5 theory lessons before you go for the evaluation conducted by the driving school, after you pass the evaluation, you may book for your RTT.
4) You are correct. After getting 2B, you have to wait one year before you can proceed to learn Class 2A. -

I haven't got a bike yet.. my friend suggested that I get a Phantom TA200.. coz 4-stroke and fuel economy quite good. Since I'm not the kind who's a speed deamon, I guess I'll be happy with the top speed of "only" 140km/h. -

But after you got the speed up to 90km/h, you will find that you wan faster.. Then you will try 100km/h then 110km/h... Then you will not enjoy riding but enjoy speeding liao.. Then after awhile you will find it hard for u not to speed although you know that it is dangerous.. That is why i sold my bike away... But now driving also hell sia.. Cannot resist the FUN on speed. Especially high speed squeezing through cars... -
Hahaha... yeah, I know what you mean. When I was training, I go on public road 70km/h feel shiok. But of course, I wouldn't want to lose my life becoz of this.. that's why I swore to myself I'll never drive fast unnecessarily after watching the "advisary" video when I passed the test.
