u commplain to LTA or traffice police and is there adjustment done? or they just said, they will check into this, will the irresponsible rider/driver be bring dwn to demerits pts or fine or they need concrete evidence?
is therer justice done or the irresonsible rider/drive get away with this due to insufficent evidence? -

read the nxt post and tell me how u feel abt our gd friends in blue -
on the date of 5/9/03 fri evening around 9.40pm, my friend was sendin his gf home on his bike
at the junction of paya lebar rd and machpherson road, my friend queue up to turn right towards airport rd, lane 1 and 2 was going straight, lane 3 was straight n right turning, lane 4 was turn right onli, he queue up at lane 3, a van was beside him at lane 4, when they were approaching the yellow box, the van suddenly swerve into his lane to go staight, the side of the van hit my friend legs, and handle bar and his gf legs, my friend wobble and fall towarss his left but lucky didnt fall flat on the floor as he was big size and its a 150cc bike , he manage to get his left feet on the ground b4 the fairings touch the floor, the van then sped away towards bartly road
my friend manage to pick himself up n gave chase, at the traffic lite junction, the van was stop by red light, my friend went to beside his window n knock his door, the fella ignore and when lights turn green, thye van move off, my friend bo bian follow, the van then make several u turns, basically going in circles along a straight rd. after 10mins, he gave up n turn into a lane of private houses and drovehis van into a 3 storey semi d, the driver got out n stare at my friend, he then started shouting vulgarities at my friend and gf, the man went in n call his brothers out and basically its 4-5 against 2. the driver argues that its my friend who want to knock into him, bike want to knock into van ? is he ok ? sommore if he knew there was contact, y didnt he stop ?at one point of time, the driver wanted to punch my friend but my friend siam in tine n the driver was pull back by his family.
sensing there is no way out, my friend proceed to tp hq with the van details..
over the counter, the police officer refuse to take in his report coz THERE WAS no injury involve, my friend has exprerssed his stand that he was willing to take him to court if necessary but the police officer replied that if my friend insist , he can lodge a report FOR RECORD PURPOSES ONLY and traffic will not take any action against this driver and this is NOT a hit n run case coz there was conversation invove.... after my friend chase the driver back to his house? so tat means its okn to leave the scene of an accident without stopping ?
so in this case, anybody can run anybody down as long as no injury?
my friend was firmly adivsed to write in to oc violations instead of lodging a formal report, then i really duno wads the use of traffic dept
wad i feel, this writing in thing is just a buffer, a diversion coz if they really do care y not accept his report straight away? and refer the report to oc violations ?
sensing no hope out, he went back to his neighbourhood police centre, the officer told my friend, he can also make a report for "record purposes" only, action wise, he got to write in to oc violations again
but the officer at npc shook his head when my friend told him he was rejected at tp hq, he say no public should be turn down....
imagine u and ur gf almost got hurt by some inconsiderate drivers and there was indeed contact between the 2 vehicles
and ur report was turn down at the traffic hq ? advised to write in instead
do bikers really can lodge a complain after they fall flat on the floor and after they enter coffin?
lets say the van decide to swerve out more n totally knock my friend off the feet n a lorry behind went over him, then he will become a statistic and then all the big hoo haa abt bikers riding dangerously and then bike practicals will get more difficult, if this is the case, y not they include a module in the bike lessons on how to balance ur bike after a vehicle knock u down
i find all these thing all so unfair, if there was no contact involve and they rejected the report i got nothing to say, now there IS contact involve but the driver left the scene, wads more my friend almost got beaten up
all these n a report can be lodge FOR RECORD PURPOSE only
