What is it actually? just an alarm?
seems like they're installing it on the Honda Wave too -
It's not an alarm.
There's a chip in your key which is like a lock. You use the original HISS key to start your engine.
But if you try to duplicate the key with the normal key maker, when you use it, the engine will stall and hence you can't ride your bike. It's to prevent people from stealing your bike by just duplicate it.
You can only duplicate the HISS key with the Honda agent or ask your motordiam to get it for you. Can't get it anywhere else. -
I heard something about, simi make air cleaner, better for environment... is that another system for honda bikes?

Don't think so. It already say it's for ignition. It just act as another security to your bike. Nothing more.

hahaha i tot it was an alarm that would go off...
coz i was sitting on this S4, FX plate. And i saw the red light blinking and thought if i did anything wrong there would be some alarm.
Note : Owner wasn't there, muahahahah just trying out the bike -
it just a indication to show that the bike has HISS lor. Now most Honda bikes comes with it liao.

I heard it's quite ex lor, about $70. So better dun lose you key. You were saying that Honda wave also have??

Haiz!! shouldn't had bought mine so early.
Honda wave very good, easy to ride, low fuel consumption, cheaper maintance abd most of all it's fast enough.

there's another model... besides the wave... like a hybrid of a racing bike and the wave.
the malaysians ride the honda cub/wave... damn power... the bike tyre amazingly is as thin as a bicycle tyre -

Ohh.. this HISS system. I heard my friend talk about it. He says the new CB 400 Spec 2 bikes use this system. Apparently there's a chip embedded in the key and yeah you can't duplicate the keys.
What else did he say.. hmm.. oh yeah, if you haven't finished paying for your bike, the shop won't give you both keys (or something like that). They'll only give you 1 until you've completed payment.

other den boon siew.. there is a mechanic in yishun Jit sen who can do the programming for u as well.
interesting chip.. tested that if u put a duplicate key (without chip ) to start your bike. u can't. But when u placed your ignition key (with chip) near it, it will actually start and u can ride on with that duplicate key. -
