Ok, I only know that in order to keep on riding the bike, you must renew your COE (the average 3 months thing) and the road tax (if I remember correctly) will increase gradually until it hit 50% more its original amount. Is the anything else?
Is overhaul compulsary, other some major inspection required?
ermmm look at the bike i am ridding almost all of them are more then 10 yrs old. u recieve a letter when yr bike coe is abt to end in a few mths ... then u can go to level 2 of LTA Sin Ming to renew it ... a very fast process. No 'overhual' needed ..... or else u can renew as and when u want maybe like when the COE price is 1 dollar or 10+ like mine but u have to forfiet the remaining COE. REMEMBER renew 10 years cuz a 5 years bike is as good as a scrapped bike... The only inspection u need is the typical road tax inspection lor that is if yr road tax is expiring ... The documents u need is yr IC , log card/book ... in yr name thats all
Regarding the roadtax ... any bike up to 10 years pays 100 percent , 11 yrs old add 10 percent , 12 yrs old add 20 percent ..... up to a 15 year old u pay 150 of the road tax thats all ...
