Raider i think in De law u are not at wrong
Cos THE tP ALWAYs post up banner saying not to tailgate , but u also at wrong abit cos u zham ur brakes at de last minute , HEARd lots of bikers saying dat car drivers zham brakes at the last minute making them buang at de back of de car
The super 4 also maybe at wrong he tailgate u 2 close , his wrong also , always remember instruter telling me keep my safe distance away when on road praticals
But rAIder u should not have jam ur brakes , cos u see wat if say de rider was going faster den dat , he could have died , Would u rather let a cat die or a human [no offence to animale lovers] -
agree with the rest, he kenna your rear, he's got no stand against you. no excuses...

he's the one at fault.. NO MATTER WHAT.. because he's not keepin safe following distance.. let him claim.. in the end he will SUFFER.. haha..

juz report to your insurance company, and fill in the accident form.. rest assured, everything will be fine..

anyway i juz wanna share one similar incident..
i was travelling at TPE sending my gf home.. i was riding at abt 100kmh one the 1st lane(most right).. was doing fine until a very old, 'lao pok' Toyota Corolla come behind me and and started shineing high beam..
not to mention in front of me is a relatively new BMW.. then my instinct was of cos to keep safe following distance between me and BMW.. but then the Toyota keep tailgating me.. and keep on shineing his high beam upon me..
then at one scretch, the BMW accelerate and i too, follow him but still keeping my following distance..
but then, 'du lan' thing happen again.. the damn Toyota kept tailgating me and shineing his high beam.. and of coz i can see that clearly from my rear mirror.. and its super irritating.. i got 'du lan', i tap my rear brakes.. then speed up in front near the BMW.. then i jam brake.. hheeeehheee... then i hear 'screeeching' sound frombehind..what i think is the stupid Toyota jammed brakes to avoid hitting into me..
then later i change lane and speed up to exit to Yishun.. during the scretch b4 the traffic lights.. the Toyota speed up beside me and the driver showed me police warranty card..
i am a bit shocked when i saw it but then.. i was at no fault.. haha.. till now stillno any police letter related to this incident..
things to add:----
u will be always right if someone hit your butts.. but not while you change lanes of coz.. told by a lot of uncles.. some is taxi drivers.. believe them.. they live by living on roads..

what you shld do is to signal him to stop and ask him if you did anything wrong. and get down his Warrant Number. then write and complain abt him. you hv to show them they are protectors of the law and yet they abuse that power. it really suck.

2)Person is injuried with 3 days MC

super four have three brake, two infront one at the back.hehe anyway it is not yours fault as the super four is quite close to you. if he keep a safe he can siam out of the course wat. why he must bang you????

if you are on your bike, following a car at let's say.... 2 car lengths, suddenly he jams his brake, i believe you too will end up crashing into him.

Yes i do ride bike, n i noe the slightly inferior braking distance of a bike does not permit it not to follow the safety distance.
If i were the S4 rider, i would have considered myself unlucky. In fact i got into a similiar accident wif a car too abt 3 yrs ago when i just got my class 3.Too bad i was vehicle behind tt time... -

well here my 2 cent worth of advice...
for raider u r not in the wrong so don't worry, but do have some thought for the S4 rider, c'mon we all r rider here who can tell me that they REALLY follow the bk on following distance. Shit happen so just face it, in this case both of u all can just blame it on luck.. and repair ur own damage. Don't find trouble wif he S4, cos he can't see a thing wif u infront, unless he want to, then this would be a lesson for him.

For ur case i think appealing telling them that the car was tailgateing at high speed and keep high beaming u, and the high beam blinded ur visiual and u 'tap' the brake.
this should be enough to overrule the summon. -
Given 2 choices by the agent, either respray the rear bumper+alinement+labour charge=$520 or change the whole bumber+workmanship+$1150.Dunno what to choose? If do the first, i think i'll share the cost between me n tt S4 rider,but if i choose the 2nd option, i think must claim liao.
