i always turn my fuel switch to 'on'...
does it mean that when no more petrol at 'on' liao, then its time to change to 'reserve'? the reserve confirm stil got petrol meh? -
if you don't know how it feels... just turn the fuel switch to off and move it a while... then you'll know how it's like when petrol is finishing... noe this corz i sometimes forget to turn to on...

cos i scared not enuff time to find petrol station mah..

urs is phantom200, 4 stroke consumes less petrol, mine is 150 2 stroke thats y total mileage per tank is about 250-270 onli... mine's gd enuff liao leh, my fren's phantom150 total mileage per tank is 180-200!
i didnt know phantom200 can go up to 350! that is quite alot leh..
my advise is dun use VPower... too ex, wats more i feel poorer pickup, my fren riding SP also say that... i suggest use mobil/esso syn8000 or if u stick to Shell, use the one which is octane98(i forgot the name liao) but not Vpower lar... i remember the color is green one..

For your information, my bike is brand new. Just 474 km in total. My first top up before hitting reserve was 346 km. Let's see how long I can maintain this kind of mileage.

u r running in ur bike now thats y ur speed is kept at below 100, hence consuming less petrol...
wats more u jus bought ur bike, sure take care of the engine one, dun dare to drag too much rite...
i tink in the near future, when u want to speed up liao, the total mileage wil be around 300-320, according to one of my fren...

I riding version s. Anyway, the fuel consumption thing is dependant on the riding style. If you are always pick up fast. Your consumption will be higher. Danigue, your case quite serious as in... Your consumption can only go less than 300. Many of my frens can hit 330km then go reserve. You now why you 98 can go 280++? and your vpower can only go 240? Cause when you use vpower, you feel the pickup then you throttle more than 98. Thats why your vpower can only go so little distance.Originally posted by blastbl00:y0u riding super4?

By the way shouldn't we be calculating the milage by distance against liters of petrol instead if distance before reserve?
Currently my Phantom 200 travels about 37 km per liter of Shell V-Power. But usually I carry around a total of 150 kg of weight (wife 55 kg and me 95 kg).

By the way what is the trip meter for?? i know rpm is to measure the revolution of the wheels but what does the trip meter measures?? hhhmm

odometer is used to record total mileage since the bike is manufactured....
trip meter is also a odometer but can be resetted anytime, therefore its called a 'trip meter'.

for the 1st 2 months i bought my bike, a full tank can last for 250km+ w/o hitting reserve.. but i tink after i went to service (wash carb, piston, valve, block), now about 220-230 hit reserve liao leh, manage to go until 250 then go top up, therefore more expensive leh..
wat could be the problem with the setting?
or maybe i pillion ppl or accelerate fast wil consume more petrol rite?

ah... tripmeter is just to spare you the trouble of remembering your mileage after you pump petrol, then using a calculator to find the number of km travelled when you pump petrol again. like i said, it's to measure the distance for that trip/journey. most if not all use it to measure the mileage per tank. as for resetting it, i still dunno!Originally posted by shah_1708:Thankzz..but seriously though, cannot reset is it?? hhm den how if it reach maximum??

RS250 200km reserve needs to be opened

- Shell XO (that time was XO)
- added MEXXON Fuel addictive
GSXR-600 ('01 injection model)
approx 250km first reserve activates
approx 280km second reserve activates
Tried before bike can continue w/o petrol top up until 310km. But the next top up will be about 17.4 liters (full tank 18liters)
