Hi everybody,
Would like you all to post out how many times u kena stop by TP in ur riding times... why are u being stop... wat is the offence and wat is the consequence (fine etc).... hope tat everybody share their experience so tat others can learn... : -

i kanna stop by them abt once or twice, coz my sch outside heavily marked
tat time i was wif dark visor, neber on headlite
neber bring insurance,
but gave him some excuses like batt weak
but end of it, i was let off as i was bery polite to him,
to me,unless the TP is the "ON" type,most of time will be quite easy if ur not cocky wif him -
been riding for 8 months. only came face to face with TP 3 times. first time was a female TP on scooter stop me bcos i chiong out of a filter lane and never give way... she give warning nia. 2nd was at the infamous pebble bay outing where everybody kena check. 3rd was behind ahboy... dis young chinese TP very guailan and nothing better to do so stop me to tell me my headlight very dim and my p-plate never put properly... bo liaoz...
no kena fine b4... very guai wan~ -
Back in my 2b days.... Stopped numerious times.
no1 of them: Stopped for going 120km, but was let-off with a warning
no2 of them: Stopped for having an rs pipe, but was let-off with a warning
no3 of them: Stopped for having an rs pipe, followed TP to SinMing LTA, had pipe inspected and was confirmed an illegal pipe, received fine later the next month, $500
no4 of them: Stopped for opposing traffic by going the other direction in a 1way street, the road beside simlim sq (to avoid ERP) fined $250.
Now a days, Stopped doing those dumb stunts to avoid small payments, and speeding only when there's a need. Not even stopped once for anything, Even road blocks... only during routine checks.

i ride only 4 mths.. kena tp twice..
1st time : buang on the way frm NP back to school... wanted to run but QX passed by.. stop and called ambulance... hai~ suay ah... so must go TP HQ see station inspector.
2ns time : go supper alone.. went to teck hin see got wat to eat.. was riding slowly to see the coffeshop beside the cinema still got wat shops open for bussiness den saw 1 car behind.. din know it was QX, so continue my slow riding loh(slow riding not a crime rite?)
next thing i know, sound of a horn.. *bEEp* *bEEp* i turn over look is QX. so stop bike by the road loh.. driver come out(old encik)

me : "supper leh sir"
"u alone aH?"
me : yar
"where u stay?"
me: teck whye
"teck whye nuthing to eat aH? why must come here?"

"whose bike?"
me: mine..
"sure anot?"
me: sure..
"license and IC"

me : no leh...
"got pay ur fines anot?"
me : pay already..
den he tok cock wib me like ask i studying or wat etc etc whilst his partner call back HQ check on my info loh.. like boh liao leh... i ride slow also kena stop, eat where also kena shoot... hai~~

whenever u see qx or tp near u, must know how to siam... if u give way to them by keeping to the side, they most likely wun try to be funny, if they r goin behind u all the time, then speed up n turn right or left when the chance comes...dun let them bio u for too long!

My 1st stop by tp was less than a month on the road with my ger.. i rode too slow liao.. kena stopped by him for routine checking.. wahaha...

mi when driving kena TP twice... both cases ask mi slow down (i drive lorry ma tat time at ard 100km/hr)... lucky they tat time pursuing another car at high speed so juz came in front of mi and wave to mi to move to the side and slow down... then they shoot off... both case like dat... heng... somemore tat time i no wear seat belt (lorry last time no need ma but now need but i hack then) and i fetchin 3 person besides mi (lorry oni can sit i tink 2 in front)... tat is sheer luck...
As for riding... i encounter road block but I wasn't block coz its oways opp direction tat i saw... so so far so good... omost a yr din put p plate oso din kena... *touch wood* -

riding for 9mths... got checked only once at pebble bay (the sua outing) didn't bring insurance tt time, but the tp attending to me was quite nice, so act blur, and he let me off with nothing.

By the way what do you mean, "never bring insurance".
Are you required to bring the insurance along with your licence on the road?
If so do they accept a photocopied version? -
heard tat TP wil stop u chk for insurance together wif license... photocopy one can oreadi... i oways bring my insurance and my log card... juz in case they wanna check when stopped.. its an offence to ride a bike without insurance so juz wanna chk if u got pay insurance anot... road tax sometimes oso chk i heard...Originally posted by seeprompt:By the way what do you mean, "never bring insurance".

You have to your original copy of your insurance and license.no fotocopy..Correct me if im wrong.

some time is they see wat bike u ride , or how x.l u do up ur bike (looks) , they more itcy to stop u , n also sometime de rider face ,
have a frend in tp , he say usually he see x.l bikes he will Start to AIM liao , sometime he see vespa speeding he hack care dont know why , nv ask him why also -

But partly because know where the common road blocks points are...h0w roughly they w0rk, etc....
2 months ago recieved a card from TP saying got rebate off insurance for remaining points free...but in the end neber use...haha -

i've tio a few times, kena warning for using photocopied insurance.
basically if they wanna LL with you, they can say they suspect your insurance is false, drag you back to HQ and give you alot of trouble.
it's not worth it.
just bring the bloody piece of paper.
