will cheap 2t decrease performance greatly?

hello will cheap 2t decrease the bike performance? I just bought a second hand sp cannot go above 140km/hr. Valve like never open oso... very low white smoke... anyone know???

why do you need to go above 140 in the first place.
anyway, i've never used 2T before, all i know that it smells when the rider opens his throttle. -

not really, it will depend on the whole set up and what bike it is... Can try the ESSO 2T Gold, can feel some diff in power. I think it cost over S$20 -

You going to try what? ESSO 2t Gold? No need liao lor... it the same, they ESSO and Mobil had merge or I think ESSO buy over the other. It call EXXON ESSO now.
At 140 ok liao, I think LTA had do a cut off point in the bike but can be un-done by the bike shop anyway. Even cars oso like tt.
Where and why you want to go more than 140????

if you use cheap 2t, that will result in piston jam which is very dangerous and costly. Usually when piston jam, will wheel lock.
When piston and block damage, if wan to change also not cheap. Full Set i tink need $150.
My friend mentioned before the more smelly the 2t is, the better it is. BTW dun even buy 2t from AH BOY hor...
As for the bike canot go above 140km, there are alot of possibilities leh.. what plate is your bike and what is the mileage. WHen is the last time you did servicing such as washing carburettor, changing spark plug etc.. Think it is better to pay motortiam a visit to check on your bike. -
ermmm the 2T smoke is an aquired smell ... i been ridding 2 strokers since my 2nd bike .. the smell can be nice some times ... its good to have at least a resonable 2t for any 2 stroke bike ... if yr SP is doing 140 .. if must see if the bike is stock .. the enjine condition .. the age and stuff ... the 2T have very minimal effect on the speed wise .. it affects more on duribility and life span i shld say

Change KNN air filter
Change carb
change spocket size and chain
change to dunlop TT900
pump Shell V power
2t use Castrol TTS - $19
change to dry clutch
This should be enough for you to hit 200km/h

by the way , NSR 150 SP's meter is not accurate . It is about 20km/h higher then what you are travelling at . Tested using a NSR 150 SP against a few Class 2 bikes like Blackbird , hayabusa , CBR 900 , suzuki 750 -

Yes rumours about ah boy 2t mix with water one not sure if its true or not... i live in jurong so won't travel so far to buying from him...
I remember the older castrol TTS stinks.. and i use it on my RS125 can go 190 with arrow... but when they change to RS the smell and performance changed -
