hi all bikers..
juz passed my bike last week after 2nd try and yes, the feeling's pretty shiok..
now in my mind there's 2 bikes which i very keen - phantom and x9..
juz wondering wat's the general reception of the bikers here towards these 2 machines..
also, another question: why is it that most bikers go for parallel imports rather than originals?? although bikes from boon siew may cost more, but wouldn't it give you peace of mind with its 1st yr warranty, 100% genuine parts, after-sales support and such?? As in a car, i would definately go to borneo motors to get a altis or rx300 rather than parallel import's version of corolla or harrier.. any bros can enlighten me on this issue as well??
cheerz..
Last year bought brand new Phanthom 200 for 5.2K otr. Parallel import. No warranty but bike shop says bring back if theres any problem. Brought back several times because of strange noises but shop cant do anything except change oil, $10. Now feel should have bought original from authorised distributors.
5.2k otr?? that's pretty cheap man.. i just got my phantom from a authorized dealer at 5.9k inclusive of insurance,iu unit, road tax and basically everything.. how much is ur interest yearly?? the only good thing i can think about for getting a original phantom is that 1st year the bike is under warranty and got free servicing..
may 2003 coe $57. I missed the $1 coe. when you buy? then was 5.2K otr 6 mts rt, ins, iu all inclusive, only extra I pay was $12 for iu bracket. paid in full with bank credit line.
