  Not really sure of the real reason..
  
  Once, we met a group of policemen patrolling in Bt Brown while on one of our exploration trips... apparently I asked one of them if he had any paranormal experiences in there, he told us that he didn't experience anything yet, probably due to the crest on the police car..

  yah...i heard about that too..
  
  last time have...now ONLY SOF and Commandos have their beret crest blessed...supposed to protect them from harm since they doing most of the real ops and difficult missions...
  
  Anyway...i supposed most "dirty" things are afraid of the police crests and others as well as it symbolises the "zheng" qi, and can repel them away...but then, these crest are nowadays made of plastic already, no longer like last time, made of real metal. also they not blessed liao.

  Hmm, I'm not really sure about the crest worn by the police, but I'm in the armed forces, and the crest I have is made of metal..

  Listen, the crest is a symbol of purpose, a role that is beyond your personal self, in this context, your spirituality grows to embody a bigger cause, a bigger picture. This means that the "dirty thing" has to deal with a bigger karma if it deals with you there and then. Usually, they will shy away and wait for another opportunity when you are, well, just yourself.
  
  But make no mistake, carrying or displaying the crest without believing in what it embodies is fruitless. It just makes it easier for you mortals to relate to because you dont think about saving the world 24/7, right?

  I believe its the "design" of the crest, not the physical crest itself that is blessed. Therefore any form of the crest will have a power.
