"We had a severe storm pass over Greene County, Ohio tonight (September 19, 2005). I was outside trying to capture some lightening photos with my digital camera at 10:30pm when I noticed this group of lights passing overhead. Note the smaller light (left side of frame) trailing behind the larger group of lights. Two things were unusual about these lights; (1) I have never known a plane to fly through such severe weather and (2) I could not hear a sound coming from this object, which appeared to be flying just under the cloud cover.
I have included a picture that I zoomed in as tight as possible without creating too much distortion. The tight shot certainly reveals some detail of what appears to be a solid shape. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may be able to better analyze this photograph.
Both pictures are unaltered in any manner other than to zoom the grouping of lights. The camera I used was a Sony DCP-150"
