dunno what happened to the project where they were going to smear a deep submersible with a cam full of the sex hormone of a giant squid to try and film one in the natural habitat
also, i think somewhere in the US a long time ago, a giant octopus washed up on shore.. it would have been about 100 feet across, when tentacles spread out...
