"I am located in South Carolina, however these images come from a webcam in lower Maine. After assisting my friend in setting up the webcam on Dec. 30th, 2002, she left the room to feed some animals. The webcam was configured to take a single picture roughly every 15 seconds, and then upload the image to my personal webserver, here in South Carolina.
I was watching the camera to make sure it was functioning properly. In a single frame (pictured on top) an unaccounted for shape appeared mid-frame. Given the size of the room we approximated that the object, which appears vaguely humanoid, would have had to have been larger than any member of the family, of which none of them in the house were in that part of the house at the time. Other notable features include the slight level of translucency, a portion of a Lord of the Rings poster can be seen through it, as well as part of the wall behind it.
Once the person returned to the computer I asked about the image, which I had saved a copy of, noting it's unusual nature. She had no idea what it might be, but was duly disturbed by it. I asked her to step out of the room so that I could save a 'blank' copy of the room for comparison (below other picture) a chair in the foreground with a shirt over the back was in a slightly different configuration and was no longer visible in the lower right hand corner of the picture. Given the rest of image, the difference seemed inconsequential. Each of these images are sadly very low resolution, and any 'enhancement' very quickly becomes meaningless due to the high level of compression."
