Texas Sand Dragon "It was early December 2003 and I was traveling near Austin Texas, when I saw the elusive "Texas Sand Dragon" crossing a field to my right (see below). At first I thought maybe it was the legendary "Old Fencepost," a twenty foot rattlesnake that has haunted rural Texans since early in the 20th century. But no, it was the "Texas Sand Dragon" which is seen fairly often nowadays since there are now plenty of deer and feral hogs to feed on. It reportedly likes little kids too so you have to watch out for them. "
