nowadays, there are modern churches focusing on the prosperity (money money money) theory. Give give give!!! No give money no god bless, ha ha ha!!!! as if god so greedy, ha ha ha!

To become spiritually rich, yes. But literally wealthy (in $ sense)? No. Why do you think there are so many beggars in Latin America, Europe and USA? I'm not talking about those idlers who are living off the social welfare. I mean those who are genuinely poor.

besides ncc, there is city harvest as well. these two churches are well known for preaching the 'prosperity gospel'. Do a google search on it to find out more.
Imho, they are following the anti-christ and are insulting decent christians out there.

ah this i can relate.
like i said. the message should encourage your walk with Jesus, focus on Jesus, magnify Jesus.
The question is, after hearing the message, do you feel that if you don't give, God won't bless you, thus giving you seeds of fear which compels you to give?
if it is, then reject that message.

Christians or non-christians get raped in this world. Dun stereotype. There is no logic to relate those who get raped to Lord Jesus Christ. It depends on how each individual perceive.

rape is indeed horrible.
rape's the product of sinful people, controlled by lust and the need to hurt others weaker than themselves.
Jesus died for that reason. to deal with the problem of sin, which drives people to rape.
yes, the bible says that Jesus died poor so that we can become rich. Rich in love, rich in compassion, rich in grace, rich in peace, rich is faith. Of course, some christians are blessed with material riches also.
but that's God's blessing to them ah. Who am i to say it's wrong?

It is a question of perception? If you claim that you are a Christian and you get rich because of Jesus, it does not follow that if you claim that you are a Christian and get raped, it is because of Jesus?

if there isn't a case, then i don't see the point of arguing.
if there is cases, means God does bless people miraculously, then who am I to say that God did the wrong thing?

How many miracles do you read in the bible? Under what circumstances did the miracles happen?
These people are asking people to expect a miracle everyday, 24/7 because of what?
Come to my church and you can expect a miracle!!!!
If you dont get a miracle, wait... your faith is not strong enough... everything except... we are preaching bullsh!t because that is what you want to hear...

often i regard Bible as a history book. It is written by many writers who thinks that God has spoken to them and inspire them to write the Word of God.
TIthing is a form of help to give back to God and also a compulsory means to contribute for Church's monthly expense.
I came to know of a church where size only 20 each month and for 4 to 5 yrs the size nvr grow. So what mirclace is it all about?
