uhh... how much is a box of mooncakes these days? i hear from my colleagues that it's about $25 to $35 a box!
used to get from Mui Lee, a small little confectionary still making the traditional teochew ones... used to be $10.. probably about $12 to $14 per box now.. no eggs, no frills, no BS... just lotus paste and flaky pastry... wonderfully delicious!
so wondering how come the others are so expensive? -
