back from lunch..
any grand old cinemas in brisbane?
there's one in Melbourne.. the Astor..
nice.. seats are made of wood, the whole place reminds you of an era gone by.. before the cineplexes...
their convenieces are called "cloakrooms" and the whole ambience is totally different

yeah, miss capitol, like it so much i'd even go watch alone.
the tickets were yellow or green paper and marked on sale. old creaky chairs and green light on gargoyles by the flanks of the screen.. or was i imagining? -
have.. but the rest of it was wood... they had these seats for couples too
their tickets were the old type of "automated" ones where it goes "crack!" and tickets from those stiff paper rolls appear
i sat thru 3 movies in a row in there once.. a trilogy shown all together Blue, White and Red.... the Three Colours trilogy

once sat through 7 movies, at home that is, during LaserDisc days, full rot.. -
it wasn't that bad.. they were the days before my slipped disc
intermission in between movies, we went to buy yummy choc-ice to eat nice to eat

You know what's nice to eat. Tiramisu at Esmirada. Beguilingly near to Delphi. It's calling to me already.

i think there's a shop (in business for the past 14 years already) near ikea that does these.. used to rent LDs, then VCDs, then DVDs from em.. if you want the details I'll scoop on the address for ya -

Hmm... haven't had much mediterranean food so can't really compare. I liked the food though, they had interesting stuff, kebabs, bouillabaisse, couscous. (Whew spelling challenge
)
Good place for date! Great ambience, dark & romantic. Nice lounge area too.
