Lousiest english phrases in SAF

Have you noticed how badly structured the english are in army camp notice boards or by RSMs? haha
things like.... "Non-compliance will be disciplinary dealt with!"
on a notice board written by a CSM, "please do not let civilian vehicles into camp for any reasons, or you will be chas (sic)".

well, for a place where almost everything has to be written in block letters...

Please switch off air-con and lights after use. Pretty point form, but the chief clerk kept wanting to change the word use to used. -

Given up trying to correct their mistakes.
Then again most people won't notice the errors cos the army has a funny tendency to dumb you down....... (for the most part, doesn't apply to everyone) -
probably so that those that are really bad with their grammar wont feel so bad about themselves.

You see arh, the people who are in charge of coming out with such notices don't have a good command of english themselves. If they made mistakes, you know, your mates know, enough already. Not everyone in camp has the same educational qualifications as everyone else, some regulars made it barely past their Os you know. And if they got someone a little more junior in rank and a little better in english to do the notices, and later checked, whats the chance that mistakes will be filtered out?

Yes, when I tried to introduce "please" and "thank you" into our briefings and discussions with others in the unit, I was ridiculed by a couple of WOs. They said that I should pepper my ops instructions by introducing some expletives and SAF jargon.
So instead of ".... section 1 will move to objective A and standby for instructions... "... according to these commando WOs, it should be "... you siao kias get the f---- out there, CBL and b ---- wait out ...." -

Sometimes... altho' English is bad at some levels in the SAF, it can actually be more succint and sound more urgent than grammatically correct language.
Take for example:-
Warrant Officer (25 years experience) shouts : " Ehh !... chopper come down and you guys roti prata ! "
Grammatically correct english is : " I say guys... this is a helicopter landing site, would you please move out as soon as possible , to avoid being a casualty !".
Somehow the WO 25 years experience instruction is clearer to me !!! -
